Is there anything more expected than suede for fall? Brown and camel hues, maybe. Sure, it’s not groundbreaking, but it is also the material that we’ve seen nearly every brand embrace for the season, and I, for one, have taken to the trend and am sold.
A suede bag allows that old luxury feel to shine through. It automatically makes you and your outfit look more sophisticated as if you were meant to live on the Upper East Side and have dinner at Polo Bar. In my mind, the ideal suede fall bag is an outfit changer. Kaitlin agrees, as she’s also covered suede bags this season!
Must-Have Suede Bag
While I love summer capsule collections and winter special editions, my true love is fall. It’s changing leaves, added layers, crisp air, and new wardrobe staples. This fall, the suede bag is the outfit must-have, and I’ve been eying more bags than I can even list. While the brands and prices vary greatly, each bag I found offers a luscious and rich suede-bodied bag.
Suede can be harder to care for, so a darker hue may be more manageable (you do need to worry about denim’s color transfer, for example), but I still couldn’t help myself and included a few light-colored bags.
Just as I started to think I didn’t care about adding a new bag to my collection, suede bags entered the chat, and that little sliver of my shopping-loving brain couldn’t shut off. Now I just need to decide which one I will buy.
These are the best suede bags available right now, and I could easily be swayed to add more if you tell me I missed a great bag.
I love the Gucci Blondie but suede scares me to invest in. How do you keep it clean and looking new?
Honestly, the less expensive brands are better designed in my opinion. The Veronica Beard and the DeMellier are gorgeous.
