From the much-hyped return of Louis Vuitton’s silver miroir Alma to Loewe’s Sunja Fujita holiday collection, mirrored, metallic silvers are having their moment, and we’re not at all surprised. After all, every collection needs a good silver bag, and the holidays are the perfect time to invest in a shiny new carry (but one you can wear all year round).
Silver looks great with both colorful and neutral outfits, and it’s one of the most versatile bags you can have in your collection. Plus, it acts as a statement maker, which is a tough ask from a bag that can seamlessly transition in your wardrobe.
Silver really can do it all, and at this point, it’s becoming a classic, returning year after year, similar to the way that denim has. While the mirrored options definitely lean more trendy, there are also muted metallics to pick from, too, and we are obsessed. More below!
With social media and influencers, everything seems to “be in” nowadays ….LOL
In = In fashion, on trend. Fashions and trends have been around for centuries. Long before social media and influencers were even a thing.
Question: Do metallic bags tend to wear out quickly? TIA!
I have the Bottega Veneta Cassette in silver, and it has held up pretty well! It’s more crinkly though so it almost comes with a worn-in look. I wear it all the time it’s one of my favorite bags!
Silver bags and those in really bright gold shades just don’t work for me. Much prefer bronze and copper shades for metallic bags.
That’s why I love this one of mine from Gucci – https://www.purseblog.com/gucci/my-pretty-little-gucci-jackie-1961-mini-bag/
It’s metallic but the right hues of it!
Kaitlin- Where’s the beloved Cleo in silver?? I clicked on this just to see that one! =)
Currently sold out! Still one of my favorites!!! 🙂
I love metallic bags. Some of these silver ones look great. Not a Chanel 22 fan but in silver…. Yes
