Scarves Ruled the Spring 2026 Street Style Scene— and We’re Obsessed

The ultimate accessory.

Silk Scarves Are the Ultiamte Accessory 1

A silk scarf is one of the chicest and most versatile accessories in the fashion world, and it’s no wonder that this hero item is currently having a major renaissance. Once thought to be a stuffy, conserative and somtimes matronly item, the silk scarf has been rebranded, embraced by the masses as fashion’s current It-accessory.

I personally, have always understood the power of the silk scarf, having worn them as tops during the summer months for years. Still, I never quite realized just how versatile a good silk scarf was until it became a ubiquitous cool-girl staple, and it’s a staple that’s sticking around.

The silk scarf was one of the hottest accessories this season, seen outside of the shows from London to Paris. Plus, it made its way onto the runway too, popping up in the Spring 2026 collections of Celine, Gucci, Ulla Johnson, Hermés (of course), and more.

If you don’t yet have a designer silk scarf in your rotation, trust me when I say it is an investment that will pull any look together, and you’ll get that cost per wear down thanks to the many ways you’re able to wear it.

I’m spending this Fall in Paris and of course, I packed a couple of scarves to help accessorize my clothes since I’ll be repeating a lot of items (packing for two months is NOT fun!).

I’m planning to power through Paris’ many flea markets to score more vintage scarves while I’m here, but if you’re fall doesn’t include that, I’ve done some digging to bring you 14 of my favorite silk scarves on the internet right now!

From classic Celine and Chanel to vintage YSL and Hermès, there’s something for everyone here! Pro tip: dig around a bit on Fashionphile or The RealReal—you can find some really great steals for a fraction of retail. More below!

I have over 30 silk scarves since my love for them as a teenager. I have so many beautiful prints in all price ranges. You don’t have to pay a lot unless the print is your absolute favorite. It is timeless and makes an outfit feel very special and feminine.

I was irrationally thrilled to see scarves with designs of books and marbled endpages at Louis Vuitton this Spring. It feels like the default design for scarves is “something vaguely equestrian”. I know it leans into the heritage of some design houses, but to have a design that feels fresh AND related to my interests? Yes please!

These boots you’re wearing make it look like you’re a size 14.

mean.

Emily

Aww, good old women shaming for being born outside of petite size and small feet.

Lisa

I wonder what your feet and the rest of you look like? Ever heard of manners or tact? SMDH

Lorelei

Imagine critiquing someone’s foot size! Not the shoe they are wearing, but the size of the foot. That they can do nothing about. Also, who cares what size people‘s feet are. So many people with foot problems in the world today and you’re going to bring up that hers look big. For Pete sake. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Jayne

So what? Why would you take the time to make that comment?

Team size 10 shoe, size 40 or 41 euro!!!

As far as your boots? I think they’re stylish and cute. Tbh, I didn’t read the article because I was staring at your boots & love how you styled them. Also, re: your shoe size? I also wear a size 10, and have since I was 14. However, I’m a 42 in European sizes. Idk if European sizes run smaller, but in Chanel, Prada, Dior, etc. I’m a true 42. Also, I’ve had ppl try and shame me for my shoe size, for years, but I tell them “I’m happy that I have feet”. If that doesn’t shut them up I tell them that Jackie O and Oprah both wore/wear size 10. Nonetheless, rude ppl don’t deserve a response, and you handled it with grace & maturity.

Flicka

Your boots are awesome and make your feet look awesome.

I’ d like to see more ways to wear the scarves. I have some lovely vintage ones that I have been wanting to use. Any suggestions?

Tip for buying a scarf – make sure you love the outer edge of the scarf because once you tie it that is the area that will show the most. The LV Let’s Go scarf above is a great example of a scarf with an interesting border.

I just bought 2! And was browsing resale sites for designer scarfs. Looking forward to seeing inspo on to incorporate in more casual looks.
