The Hobo Bag is Once Again the Big Bag Shape Trend of the Season for Fall 2017

The super-functional, super-popular hobo shape is back again!

When we noticed more hobos and other single-shoulder bags (as opposed to crossbodies) popping up at retailers last fall, you guys were almost uniformly excited—the shape has long been a hands-free favorite, and its near disappearance from the luxury bag market was always kind of a bummer. Statement bags were having a moment, though, and it’s harder to make a statement with a functional bag tucked discreetly under the arm.

Now, though, the bag market is sort of anything-goes, so while statement bags are still alive and kicking, there are plenty of subtler, roomier options for those looking for something a little more classic. Below, we’ve enumerated 20 of our favorites for fall, if you’re looking for a no muss, no fuss day bag option. (And aren’t we all?)
