Denim: Whether you love it, hate it or have mixed feelings about it, denim is an accessory trend that is almost always sort of around. Usually we see an uptick of denim accessories around this time of year, when Spring/Summer bags start to pop up and the thought of wearing white jeans again becomes a more tangible reality. This year is no different, and as I’ve been analyzing SS19 assortments I’ve noticed denim bags popping up even more than usual. I’m not surprised to be seeing so many denim bags, as lately the trends of the late 90s and early 2000s have resurfaced. Take for example the return of the Dior Saddle Bag, which rose to popularity around the same time that Louis Vuitton released its monogram denim bags. I like Alexander McQueens drop chain version. Although I do prefer the regular leather drop chain bag.

Right. No. Most of them look funny but the LV Wave looks like something an 8-yr old would have carried in the 80’s. Also the prices are pretty atrocious for denim canvas.

The Prada Denim Cahier bag is so cute! In my opinion, it is the only one worth investing in because the denim bags get frayed edges very easily and the Cahier bags have metal casing on corners so it solves that problem! And it’s gorgeous.

Every few years this trend comes back and every few years I think NO! Please stop – I hate it – yes hate is a strong word reserved for few things like chocolate orange but this is definitely one of them!
These comments are hilarious! But agree, apart from not LOVING any of them, could not justify these prices for a bag that does not have longevity.

Personally, I wouldn’t spend one penny on any of these bags. If you gave me one, I would refuse, except for the Fendi flap, which I’d accept to give to one of my daughters. If you must have a denim bag, look in Forever 21. ?
