Raffia for summer seems just about as groundbreaking as florals for spring. Yet here I am to confess my love for raffia bags and share a wide variety of bags that may suit your summer wardrobe. The thing is, I am someone who gravitates toward a more pointed seasonal material as this is where I find accessories are able to completely define an outfit. My Prada Raffia Tote has been my newest summer carry that continues to get a lot of use, and now I am sharing a selection of other raffia bags I love for you to join the trend as well.
The Color Raffia Options
While a more natural raffia colorway is a beautiful and neutral option, there are plenty of colored raffia bags that you can choose from. Prada really honed in on this, as seen with my Prada Raffia Tote, and other brands have followed. The bag will still offer that natural material look but adds color to stand out on these bags.
The Designer Raffia Tote
Our summer travels typically find us needing more items to be carried, and the Raffia Tote is where you can get that summer look that is also lightweight and on-trend. I’ve seen more and more people carrying different raffia totes, and these are some of my favorites that are offered right now.
The Smaller Daily Carry
Some trends are more specific, but this summer, raffia is being used on all different shapes and sizes of bags. As much as I love my Raffia tote, the idea of a smaller bag that fits this trend is also appealing. Personally, the small shoulder bag isn’t always my go-to, as I don’t find that shape to work well for my body or needs, but I know plenty who wear these designs well, and here are the best smaller bag options.

Better off getting a nice bag from a local market, probably better craftsmanship!
I’ll pass, thank you!
The Lady Delite bag is pretty. But unless you are under 30 or over 75, you can’t carry it without actually looking like grandma, which is not the goal for most women in the USA. Some things, you just don’t do between 30 and 75 unless you are really trying to look your age or older. The Coach tote seems to be very versatile, able to survive several seasons, and has a lesser price point that the next tier designers. I have a larger YSL raffia tote. It is great to take along to the grocery store to avoid using plastic bags.
