I’m sensing a pattern. First we talked about the Marc by Marc Jacobs Tangramarama Anna Clutch, which Megs decided she loved so much that she made it one of her ShopBop Fashion Insider picks. And now we have the Marc by Marc Jacobs Tang Natalie Bag, which takes a similar tone-texture concept and turns it into a functional option for everyday use.

Keep this stuff coming, Marc. This line is the freshest and most interesting stuff that I can remember seeing from Marc by Marc Jacobs in quite a while.

For my own purposes, I would have preferred to have this bag in the green color scheme that the Tangramarama Anna Clutch wears so well. I rarely find myself using neutral bags as an everyday option, and the green that made up most of the clutch would have worked incredibly well in my daily wardrobe. For people who prefer their bags to be more neutral, though, this black-and-greige option is perfect. It goes with every neutral under the sun because of the contrasting trim (ok, maybe not navy), and despite the fact that the structure means the bag will likely turn into a black hole of nothingness that will eat all of your stuff at the precise time that you need it, I’d still like to have it in my collection. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $528.

…wait until you’ve seen the Rocky bag from this line. It is perfection!!!

Great line! New ideas, quality designs, practical materials, sensible colors, and no-nonsense prices. What’s not to like?

This bag reminds me of when you get tomboy jeans looking just right. I like black hole bags because they are large enough to throw a book and scarf in with the normal purse stuff.

I love the combo of black and tan – so versatile. And I agree that these bags are much more sophisticated and luxe looking than most MbMJ bags.
The Rocky Jen mentioned is on the Marc Jacobs website in several color combos and looks fabulous!

Ah! I love the belt! I just did a post on my blog about knotted belts! MJ never fails to be relevant!

I want to like the bag, but something is keeping me from liking it. Unfortunate because I own so many of his bags. I think that it’s the color scheme.

  • T-Girl

Sorry, but I don’t like it at all. The style is so simple with a belt around it. This sort of looks like a belt above the bulge on a pregnant woman.

      LOL! Literally!

  • RedoMyShoe

This whole belt thing is kind of annoying. I first noticed it in BCBG ads a couple seasons back; now everyone’s doing it. It seems like it’s the industry’s way of letting us know that they can be innovative even when tying a belt. Just another way for them to impose their superiority over us common folk. How original and unique!

I think that this is really a good way to show that the website still exists, as this would help to show the presence of the business.

Looks like Reed Krakoff Boxer II’s belt, doesn’t it?
