Sometimes, you see something and you just know.

That’s what happened when I spotted the Treesje Crimson Crossbody Bag at Intermix a few weeks ago. I was perusing some pretty patterned dresses when I lifted my eyes to a back shelf and BAM. There it was. I had to go touch it.

I’m still not exactly sure what about this bag in particular makes it so appealing to me. Studs have been done nearly to death by more or less all of my favorite bag designers, but for some reason, this crossbody makes me love the look all over again.

First things first: this picture does the bag’s leather absolutely no justice. In person, it was pleasantly soft and luxurious, but the real star of the show was naturally the all-over studs. Using round studs instead of pyramid was a smart choice to make sure the bag evolved past last season’s looks, and the Crimson had a nice but not overwhelming weight when held or carried. I didn’t buy it that day, but sometime in the near future it will be mine. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $388.

I think that the rounding of studs are taking them into the fall season as a trend. Does this bag actually come in crimson? : D

I wondered that myself – seems like an odd choice to name a bag after a color and then not produce it in that color. I’ve yet to find a crimson version!
