PurseForum Roundup – July 26

The last PurseForum Roundup of July is here. [Editor’s note: How’d that happen so fast?] Fall collections are on the horizon, but that doesn’t mean that PurseForum members have stopped shopping for summer. We visited Valentino, Coach, the Kitchen, plus we took in some beautiful Bag Showcases. Come join us!

Valentino Bags

Our first stop this week is Valentino, where we found LabelLover81 in the middle of a no-nonsense reveal of two very different and equally fabulous bags: a Rockstud single and a stunning Nappa Rose tote. Other eye-popping reveals in the Valentino subforum this week included Pinkrose98’s noir Rockstud pumps and new shoes and a bracelet from MademoiselleXO. We also cheered nascar fan along as she added to her growing Valentino collection! Congratulations to all who brought Valentino to their lives this week!

Coach Drawstring Bag

Over in Coach, member whateve is on the fence over the new pebbled drawstring bag she brought home this week. We absolutely love the color but agree that the hang tag color may be a bit off. Feel free to weigh in! New member scarytales picked up a nice Legacy Flight Bag this week, and SomethingWitty revealed a pair of delicious totes in similar but equally beautiful neutrals. There are lots of reveals in Coach this week, so be sure to check in often. Don’t miss this pretty Caroline that Scorpio1101 picked up just yesterday!

Bottega Veneta Veneta Hobo

Bottega Veneta was quite busy this week, and we hurried in to see what StarStarMoon chose as her very first BV: a beautiful nappa Veneta in a color that can move easily between seasons. Fans of exotic leathers will love this reveal by pfjlvoer, two unusual and very different wallets, each one stunning in its own way. We like to warn you in advance, so this would be a good time to pull up a chair, because Fatcat2523’s reveals might make you swoon. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but let’s just say the pretty clutch in the first post is just the tip of the iceberg! Stay seated, because Scottish Girl’s new shoes are next, and don’t miss LynxR’s new bag. Sale season is the happiest time of year for fans of this design house, known for its understated and beautifully crafted leathers.

Cake

As you know, we love to pop into the Kitchen fairly regularly to see what our members are cooking up. We found these funny doughnuts that put smiles on our faces without adding to our waistlines. Slightly more elegant but surely just as delicious is the beautiful lemon cake from princesspig, devilishly coupled with a pretty nice selection of cookies, too! And don’t miss this irresistible al fresco meal we shared with Blueberry12. When you need a break from bags, visit the Kitchen for discussions on such varied topics as oatmeal, bottled water and coffee pots! See you there (we will be in the “I ate this” thread, if you are looking for us.)

Christian Dior Doctor's Bag

This week, we finish off in the Bag Showcase subforum, where longtime member MAGJES shared her incredible collection, which includes all the colors of the rainbow and then some! Speaking of color, please do not miss yototomatoe’s collection, which includes the pretty Dior Detective Satchel pictured above. Lots of pretty bags in this thread, which is a must-see! It was a real treat to catch up with poohbag’s collection thread, in which she shares not only terrific photographs, but a sweet little memory or tidbit with each bag. We enjoyed getting to know poohbag and her bags, and are sure you will, too. Also, Chanel lovers will enjoy the shoes, bags and tweeds nestled among the many bags in this wildly varied and wonderful collection!

Well, dear readers, that wraps up another Roundup, and another month. We will see you right here in August! Time is flying, but be sure to stop and smell the roses. Have a great weekend and week ahead from all of us at PurseBlog!
