Hello out there! It’s Friday once again, and that means it’s time to have a look at what’s been happening on the PurseForum this week. Each week we bring you a smattering of the conversations (including great reveals from our outstanding members) going on ’round the clock on our busy, entertaining forum. This week, we checked into last year’s conversation about whether or not Balenciaga bags are starting to feel dated. The answer is still no, and our favorite quote from jeanstohandbags summed it up nicely: “I intend to carry only Bals for the rest of my days, even if I live to 100!” We love brand loyalty. Very grateful member Muchstuff drove the point home with her reveal of two absolutely gorgeous bags, pictured above, that she selected with the help of her new Balenciaga buddies.
Mimicry26 revealed her brand new Balenciaga with a rare dustbag shot. You can see a tiny bit of the stunning burgundy color of this terrific bag–drop in to see the rest. She had some concerns about the bag’s slouch, so stop by here and get a primer on this issue from seasoned slouch veterans.
Fabulous&broke (uh oh!) shared her beautiful collection this week in our Bag Showcase. This is indeed a fabulous collection, and we hope F&B can scrape up a few dollars to get the Dior and Chanel she is hoping to add to this impressive bag family. We don’t advocate going broke to buy bags, of course.
BerlinArtGirl updated her bag collection thread recently with this gorgeous Cluny from Louis Vuitton. If you haven’t visited her thread, you are in for a treat! The Bag Showcase houses member collections of every taste and budget, and is a great place to get inspired to trim down or build up your own collection.
Would you dare? We can honestly say, no way. This white bag bucket bag from Mansur Gavriel is perfect for CYNC, and we are thrilled for our members who have been awaiting the return of this coveted color, but all that blank space is a little scary! Our members report that the latest restocking from this hot brand was less frustrating than past events, and there were still bags left this week.
Mochi_snochi got a new bag too, and we love this (much safer) moss color. This week, halohalo threw her halo into the ring with her new thread. These popular lookbook apps give our members an opportunity to create and share ensembles that are just smashing. There is never a difference of opinion when it comes to vintage Chanel, and our members have a thread dedicated to these coveted, timeless bags. This thread is a favorite of ours, and this week, this stunning bag took our breath away. Auvina shared her great find, a flap with lots and lots of life left, and yes, we are a little bit jealous. The hunt for a vintage bag is all the better when rewarded with a choice find like this.
