What Spring Bags Are You Eying?

I find myself passing over new releases for the tried and true

We’re just seven days into the coldest month of the year, and it may be hard to believe, but trust me when I say that spring is coming. While it’s too early for me to start spring cleaning, it’s not too early for me to start shopping for spring. Or, it’s not too early for me to start dreaming about shopping for spring!

While I typically lean towards getting a new bag somewhere between the end of one year and the beginning of the next year, I pushed it off a bit this time. I decided to wait until March since I just added a couple of new bags to my collection in the fall.

I recently sold my Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy 30, which I’d toyed with parting ways with for a long time. Because it was monogrammed with my initials, I didn’t get as much for the bag as its quality warranted, but I still put the money aside to add towards my spring bag fund.

A New Classic or a New Release?

As spring’s new arrivals are popping up on our favorite online shopping destinations, I find myself uninspired by the latest (but not so greatest?). Instead, I’m returning to my favorite bags of the last 3 years or so.

I think I’ve got my heart set on finally adding a Prada Cleo to my rotation, but the Bottega Veneta Teen Jodie is also tantalizing. I love, and use, my Mini Jodie a fair amount, but admittedly, it’s tiny, and the Teen size was released after I got mine. I would also consider adding another Loewe bag to my collection, but it’s not one of the brand’s new bags that’s giving me heart eyes, it’s the brand’s tried and true.

Whatever the reason, I find myself unexcited by luxury’s newest bags, instead returning to the new classics of the last few years. What about you; Are you eyeing a new spring arrival? Which new bag has excited you the most?
