We’re just seven days into the coldest month of the year, and it may be hard to believe, but trust me when I say that spring is coming. While it’s too early for me to start spring cleaning, it’s not too early for me to start shopping for spring. Or, it’s not too early for me to start dreaming about shopping for spring!
While I typically lean towards getting a new bag somewhere between the end of one year and the beginning of the next year, I pushed it off a bit this time. I decided to wait until March since I just added a couple of new bags to my collection in the fall.
I recently sold my Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy 30, which I’d toyed with parting ways with for a long time. Because it was monogrammed with my initials, I didn’t get as much for the bag as its quality warranted, but I still put the money aside to add towards my spring bag fund.
A New Classic or a New Release?
As spring’s new arrivals are popping up on our favorite online shopping destinations, I find myself uninspired by the latest (but not so greatest?). Instead, I’m returning to my favorite bags of the last 3 years or so.
I think I’ve got my heart set on finally adding a Prada Cleo to my rotation, but the Bottega Veneta Teen Jodie is also tantalizing. I love, and use, my Mini Jodie a fair amount, but admittedly, it’s tiny, and the Teen size was released after I got mine. I would also consider adding another Loewe bag to my collection, but it’s not one of the brand’s new bags that’s giving me heart eyes, it’s the brand’s tried and true.
Whatever the reason, I find myself unexcited by luxury’s newest bags, instead returning to the new classics of the last few years. What about you; Are you eyeing a new spring arrival? Which new bag has excited you the most?
Love the Cleo! The regular one fits so much more than you’d think. I have the flap version (not the mini) and it’s very roomy and elegant. Of course, you also can’t go wrong with a Loewe puzzle bag! I love the puzzle and have three small ones (which are very very roomy) and a tiny mini one.
I am still wanting a classic celine bag…prices these days just have me looking and not necessarily buying.
I think I will purchase a small Gucci Jackie. I like the look and the bag in green is off the charts! It is versatile as a hand held or cross body and it holds a good amount.
I’ve been wanting a Celine Luggage Nano. I saw one in Saks a couple of weeks ago, and now I want one.
I would also like a green bag. Not sure of which design house, but I’ll know it when I see it.
I love the Celine luggage line in general and have two Nanos, such great and practical bags!
I wanted the celine luggage nano for so long. Just couldnt pull the trigger. Now i know why because i was obsessing over the tricolor one but when i saw the antarctic teal color i just couldnt say no anymore. Go for it. Its such an easy to carry bag for me. Same here ive been searching and waiting for a green bag since its the missing color in my closet. I want an hermes bag any shade of green they have the best selections. Same with kaitlyn i want a loewe puzzle bag or a bottega veneta top handle bag. But the bottega veneta a friend/seller of preloved luxury bags called it just a glorified “bayong” (in our language it means a cheap straw woven bag we use to bring to the market) so im rethinking now if i still want one. Ive also been debating whether to get a ysl envelope or camera bag or woc.
I love yellow bags for summer! During the winter time, I like to carry bigger bags, so I am looking forward to bring out my smaller and mini bags as soon as the weather gets warmer.
I’m looking forward to Daniel Lee’s new Burberry bags IRL.
Also been eyeing Alaïa’s Mini Mina bag and Primo Atelier’s Monte Carlo bag.
just purchased the gorgeous Dior d-bubble bucket after eying it for some time! I was debating between this and the new Chanel camera bag, but the Dior is just too beautiful to pass by!
The coach heart bag, Wandler and strathberry east/west bag.
