Classic Monogram, With a Twist

Louis Vuitton has a knack for updating its classic Monogram to appease fanatical, never-satiated collectors with a little something different, and this fall, the brand does it again. Ahead of the formal Fall 2022 runway collection that we are so anxiously awaiting, Louis Vuitton introduces a small array of pieces as part of its Fall for You Collection. Not only do these bags refresh classic Monogram, taking on a vintage feel in colored monogram canvas, but some of the Maison’s most beloved silhouettes are given a fresh, utilitarian feel with an exterior pocket.

A New Take on Old Silhouettes

This year, fans have been lucky enough to have been blessed by a couple of other smaller capsule collections thus far. The Fall for You collection comes on the heels of the Summer Stardust collection, and fans can get their hands on fresh, fun takes on Monogram canvas in many ways this year. The latest iteration of Monogram Canvas is available in a few colorways, including neutral beige clair, colorful fuchsia, and black with pink. The new pocket detailing adorns various bags this season, but one of the most wanted is sure to be the always functional and highly-beloved Neverfull MM. The addition of an exterior pocket ups the functionality even more, and Louis Vuitton fans are sure to love this one, which retails for $2,710 versus $2,030 for the classic Neverfull MM, while the Speedy B25 will retail for $2,630 versus $1,820 for the classic.

100% Guess aesthetic. Every now and then I’ll see some LV bags in the wild that look so weird design-wise that I wonder if they’re fake. This would be a similar situation for me, had I not seen these photos here.

I don’t think these extra pockets are useful or an aesthetic improvement. what a hassle it would be to unbuckle a pocket just to slip your parking ticket in…

as a young more updated version of canvas bags of the early 2000s that i enjoyed i like it…. thing is price, wise these bags should accessible, or they fall on cheap but expensive territory, a rather dangerous place to in my opinion.

I like the throw-back feel of these bags. They remind me of the LV bags from the early 2000s.
