As Nicolas Ghesquière closes out a decade at Louis Vuitton, a new chapter begins.
At the start is Ghesquière’s Spring 2025 collection, which was presented yesterday in Paris. The designer continues to honor the House’s heritage as well as the foundation and legacy that he has established while at the Maison.
Opposites Attract
This season, Ghesquière plays with proportions, melding his signature tailoring with unexpected elements of volume. There is also a hint of retro-meets-futurism with graphic, ’80s-inspired prints sitting alongside puff sleeves and drop shoulders.
The collection as a whole is defined by the details like sheer overlays affixed with stones, fringed skirts, and embellishments throughout. Asymmetrical elements further the dialogue of juxtaposition—the contrasts created tell a bold story.
Bags offer contrasts of their own, with classic Monogram pieces given new touches like exotic trims and intricate straps. Both the Speedy and the Neverfull see a return to the runway this season in bright, bold exotics. The Petite Malle is adorned in futuristic stones, while a classic trunk gets a celestial spin with artwork by French artist Laurent Grasso.
There are wearable new shapes to delight in as well, like a soft, unfussy leather carryall with top handles and a detachable longer strap, and a structured square number shown in both leather and exotic iterations. The GO-14 and the Side Trunk are given the same treatments as the ready-to-wear, fitted with metallic fringed detailing.

Say what you will about LV, but they certainly do come up with creative styles for their bags each season.
How much for the croc speedy , anybody know?
croc neverfull, there was a picture of this a couple years ago in a magazine somewhere, looks baller.
Nice to see some vintage silhouettes reimagined once again.
Not usually a fan of LV, but everything about Spring 2025 collection is on fire—especially those “bag handle” shoes!
Love the speedy with the croc handles!
I own the first iteration of the croc Neverfull, and though I seldom carry it, I’m elated to see it back. I wonder what colors will be on offer.
That croc Neverfull and Speedy, aslo that bling bling petite malle, super pretty
Is it me or does this collection’s footwear and shapes give me Nicolas Ghesquière Balenciaga circa mid late 00s?
That was my thought too.
My wallet is safe, I think.
Was hoping to see upcoming Takashi Murakami collaboration pieces from this latest collection….
Is this LV or Coach? Good to see those from 99 SS collection got renovated though.
Oh, I know. I saw so many similarities to old Coach bags which is ok too.
I love the croc speedy too They are all nice
It’s nice to see updated Noctambule/Epi leather bag! The handle not used for only bags but used for accessories. I would love to see updated Pont-Neuf, Pochette-Demi-Lune and Reade GM( Vernis )one day.
