Loewe Opens a New Chapter With Its Spring 2022 Collection

Introducing new silhouettes and fresh takes on old favorites

Move over Puzzle Bag; there’s a brand new Loewe in town. Late last week, creative director Jonathan Anderson and his team at Loewe presented the brand’s latest collection for spring 2022 at Paris Fashion Week. The result was a juxtaposed collection of pieces that were part eccentric and part high-fashion. Long, body-hugging dresses feature protrusions in unexpected places, and other RTW pieces feature draped elements meant to portray a twisting and contorting of the body.

As for the bags, the absence of Loewe’s iconic Puzzle bag paves the way for new silhouettes, like the new Luna bag, which is part hobo, part shoulder bag, appearing in smooth leather as well Loewe’s classic Anagram jacquard. The silhouette features curved lines and a drapey silhouette, stunning in all of its simplicity. This season, a new Goya bag also joins the Loewe lineup, the Goya long clutch, seen in a soft teddy bear fabric that also appears on the Flamenco bag, which is a carry-over from previous seasons. Lastly, The Loewe Hammock bag is reimagined in a new proportion for spring, called the Hammock Nugget; it is shown in stunning Nappa calf and is quintessentially Loewe.
