Move over Puzzle Bag; there’s a brand new Loewe in town. Late last week, creative director Jonathan Anderson and his team at Loewe presented the brand’s latest collection for spring 2022 at Paris Fashion Week. The result was a juxtaposed collection of pieces that were part eccentric and part high-fashion. Long, body-hugging dresses feature protrusions in unexpected places, and other RTW pieces feature draped elements meant to portray a twisting and contorting of the body.
As for the bags, the absence of Loewe’s iconic Puzzle bag paves the way for new silhouettes, like the new Luna bag, which is part hobo, part shoulder bag, appearing in smooth leather as well Loewe’s classic Anagram jacquard. The silhouette features curved lines and a drapey silhouette, stunning in all of its simplicity. This season, a new Goya bag also joins the Loewe lineup, the Goya long clutch, seen in a soft teddy bear fabric that also appears on the Flamenco bag, which is a carry-over from previous seasons. Lastly, The Loewe Hammock bag is reimagined in a new proportion for spring, called the Hammock Nugget; it is shown in stunning Nappa calf and is quintessentially Loewe. Regarding what bag you like or don’t like, I’m not going to give my opinion. But you’re not going to compare Loewe’s quality to me with Coach. If you do, you don’t know about bags. And you will know that Stuart Vevers before arriving at Coach went through Loewe to learn.
I agree with Dave, they may be simple designs but the quality of a Loewe bag is amazing. Of all my designer bags, my Loewe is the best quality. I don’t own Hermes, so I can’t compare against that, but against the other major brands it comes out on top.

I have actually. It’s a perk of living in the fourth largest city in America, the state’s largest city, and the wealthiest neighborhood in the city which is 5 minutes away from the luxury mall. I’m lucky to be able to try out most luxury handbags. You name the luxury house, I’ve more likely than not tried out the bag.
I stated that the bag is not functional TO ME. Functionality is different for each individual.

Gorgeous new bags. I became an instant fan after my Puzzle. Love the Goya but this pleated teddy style doesn’t appeal to me. The Hammock nugget is super cute.
