If you are a regular PB reader, you know that the words “Birkin” and “Kardashian” frequently appear alongside each other. The Kardashian-Jenners do not skimp when it comes to Hermès. Their Hermès handbags are legion, with the Birkin being the obvious family favorite. In the last year, a new trend has crept into their collective Birkin collection: the 25cm size.
Kendall Jenner set the trend a little over a year ago with her own 25cm black leather Birkin with gold hardware. Her big sister Kourtney has only come around to this version in the past couple months, but now she carries her own black leather 25cm Birkin with silver hardware almost exclusively. (Recently, another bag of the moment–the Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini Backpack–has joined it.) This increases the visibility of this rarer size almost exponentially. Celebs love their 35cm and 30cm Birkins, but 25cm sightings were seldom until the Kardashian-Jenners took up their cause.
