PurseBlog Beauty: 15 Perfect Products to Give the Beauty Guru on Your List—or Yourself—This Holiday Season

The products we need, love and lust for all make the quintessential gift for the beauty lover in your life

I love giving gifts, and I always have. I’m one of those people that really likes my gifts to have meaning, or I want them to be something I know my recipient really wants and will really love. Unfortunately, finding that special, meaningful gift isn’t always as easy as I’d like it to be. Sometimes I myself get stuck, but when I’m struggling to come up with something to give any of the ladies in my life, I almost always resort to beauty products.

It’s also true that most of us don’t do enough for ourselves, so in my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a great beauty-themed gift. Below, I’ve rounded up the perfect beauty products to give this holiday season. This list is compromised of things I need, things I love, and things I’ve been obsessed with trying, but they all make great gifts. What are your favorite beauty products to give as gifts? Tell us in the comments below!

Caudalie Mini Must Haves Set
$15 via Sephora

This mini trio is the perfect stocking stuffer! I love this eye cream and I use it myself everyday. I love getting minis like this, both because they’re great for traveling, but also because it’s the best way to try new products without splurging on the full size until you know you love it.

Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum
$115 via Sephora

I absolutely adore this light and airy floral scent, and many of my friends do too. One of two things usually happens when I’m wearing this scent—either I get a compliment or a, “Hey is that Flowerbomb you’re wearing, I love that perfume!” It’s as much of a crowd-pleaser as a fragrance can be.

Fresh Sugar Lip Beauty Box
$45 via Sephora

I absolutely love Fresh lip balms. I swear by them—they make your lips so soft and shiny and the tinted ones leave a hint of color perfect for a natural day or night look! This set of minis is the perfect gift for any girl on your list. Full disclosure, though—I’ve bought this for myself more than once because the minis just fit in your purse so well, and the value is hard to pass up.

Sunday Riley Power Couple Duo Total Transformation Kit
$85 via Sephora

This product is a cult favorite, and I’ve heard such great things about it. I ordered it relatively recently and, to be honest, I haven’t given it a try just yet as I’ve been having some skin troubles and don’t want to introduce anything new. However, the value of this kit is, again, too good to pass up, and it contains a duo that promises to exfoliate and brighten the skin. Who doesn’t want that?

Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Hydration Trio
$39 via Nordstrom

I recently fell in love with the Coco Rose body polish, so I know that this little trio would make a great gift. And, for a luxury beauty gift set, it’s relatively affordable.

Tocca Stella Eau de Parfum
$72 via Sephora

This is another scent in my rotation that I can’t get enough of. I bought this a couple of years ago in a rollerball and then went back to get the full size when that ran out because I loved it so much. It has notes of blood orange and sandalwood, and it’s unique from any other scent I own.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Set
$20 via Sephora

Amanda and I have both raved about Still Liquid Lipstick before. Simply put, the stuff works, really, really well. It does what it’s supposed to and truly stays all day. I have three colors in the full size version, but luckily for me none of these, because I want to order this mini set and try three new colors!

Oribe Dry Styling Collection
$75 via Net-a-Porter

This boxed set features two of my very favorite products from Oribe. I was first introduced to Oribe at my salon, and it took some convincing before I actually purchased these (very) pricey hair products, but in my opinion they are totally worth it. I can’t say enough good things about the texturizing spray—it adds volume to your hair in an instant. My hair is on the curlier/wavier side, which one would never guess because I’m always wearing it straight! That’s mainly because it’s the only way I know how to style it, which often leaves my hair looking flat and lacking in texture/volume. This product changed all that. The dry shampoo is also a must-have for days when, well, you just straight-up don’t want to wash your hair. It smells so good and absorbs oil.

Taste Beauty Frenchie the Bulldog
$10 via Sephora

Often, particularly at Christmas time, I forget that I am above the age of 13, and when I came across this little peppermint lip balm from Taste Beauty was one of those times. Put this in someone’s stocking, I dare you. It’s too cute not to love.

Gucci Marmont Makeup Case
$520 via Matches Fashion

I have always loved the idea of a designer makeup case. In my opinion, it just doesn’t get more glam than toting around your makeup in a Gucci case, but I would never dream of splurging on one for myself, which is why this makes the perfect gift.

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum
$94 via Sephora

This list deserves another fragrance because when in doubt, they’re my go-to gift to give. This is one of my newer favorites, but again, I get compliments every single time I wear it. Dior changed the formula recently and although I never wore this before the re-release, I can stand by the current formula. It’s amazing, and if you didn’t like this before you should definitely give it a second try! I don’t always love floral scents, but this one isn’t too heavy or overpowering.

Too Faced Neutral Eye Palette
$36 via Sephora

I have an older version of this eyeshadow palette from Too Faced and I love it. Let me be real with you for a minute—I cannot do my makeup—at all. I mostly wear a lightweight powder with bronzer and mascara and that’s about it, so if you throw some eyeshadow my way I literally don’t know what to do with it. I adore the fact that this palette comes with instructions to create different looks. It’s like makeup for dummies!

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
$12 via Nordstrom

This intense shea butter hand cream has been my go-to for years now during the winter months. My hands and knuckles get super dry, to the point where they crack and bleed sometimes—not cute! This cream is a skin saver!

Diptyque Set of 5 Candles
$75 via Net-a-Porter

My Saturday evening ritual when getting ready for a night out with friends is a glass of wine, my favorite tunes (usually rap—don’t ask) and a burning candle. I have a set of Diptyque candles just like this that are my favorite. Theses minis are a great way to switch it up from time to time, and I know just the person on my list who would love these.

Caudalie Mini Mask Trio
$18 via Sephora

Another great stocking stuffer is this mask trio from Caudalie. I have the full size Instant Detox Mask and I can’t get over how it makes my skin feel—super clean, soft and firm. I would love to try the other two as well. I use the Detox Mask religiously every Sunday night!
