Fendi‘s Bag Bugs are more than just a handbag accessory–they started not just a trend, but an entire category of luxury products. The Bag Bug craze inspired other designers to create their own bag charms, some of which we looked at in great detail earlier this week. The original, however, is still going strong, and for proof of that, look no further than our PurseFourm‘s Fendi subforum, where the Fendi Bag Bug thread makes us feel like one furry monster is never enough.
At one time, it was nearly impossible to get your hands on one of these Bag Bugs, and while consumer interest is still very high, production has finally met demand for these furry charms. Our forum members love to show off their bugs, either by themselves or added to some of their favorite handbags. These Bag Bugs have also become collectors items for many of our members, as you’ll see from their impressive collections.
What can we say? It’s a Bag Bug world and we’re just living in it. Check out our favorite our forum members’ Bag Bug images below, and be sure to shop more Fendi Bag Bugs through Vestiaire Collective, Bluefly and Neiman Marcus.
I just can’t get hooked onto this trend what with all the fur. I don’t like it, but I can understand people wanting scarves or winter coats with fur…but key chains, seriously?

I have two of these and I have a love/hate relationship with them. Sometimes I regret buying it and then sometime I want to buy another one… I hate it when the fur become like the picture in #2.

Love the bag bugs by Fendi. I bought a few cheaper options to see if I liked the look. Sadly my cat took every single one into his cat cave >.<…. So I don't think I could risk it with the price of these so I'll adore them from afar 🙂

I do like some purse charms, but not these furry ones. I try my best to stay away from fur and these are way too pricey for me anyway.

I despise, hate, and loath these stupid things with the fire of a thousand burning suns.
I forgot juvenile and a waste of money.
Nope. They are hideous to me. I hate them even more than I hate anything and everything Michael Kors.

I have three bag bugs myself and I love them. They are a super fun way to dress up a bag. They don’t suit every bag I have, but if you get the right combination they do look super.

Am I the only one who feels that these are obscene to be made with real fur? Are we really so desensitised to the suffering of poor defenseless animals for this frivolity? If they were made with faux fur they would be so much more appealing.

I have a few issues with these. I agree they need to be faux fur. Animal lover here this is just cruel. They are very costly and do absolutely nothing of purpose. Once I hit mid 20’s it was time to for me to move away from this kind of stuff. Finally, they are a dirt collector and carry germs. At least a purse you can wipe down. So although they are weird and strange I am not a fan because of all these reasons.

I second that
Am I the only one who find these fendi fur balls really ugly?
