Fendi Shies Away From Logos With Its Fall 2019 Collection, the Last From Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld

Has logo mania finally ceased?

Karl Lagerfeld spent 54 years at Fendi, and his presence was felt on the runway at Milan Fashion Week, where the Italian Fashion House debuted its Fall 2019 collection earlier this week. The collection featured a plethora of bags, including new versions of the Baguette bag, which Fendi brought back from the archives in full-force for Spring 2019. For Fall 2019, Fendi debuted the Baguette in a patent version of its embossed logo Baguette bag.

Fendi seems to have taken a different direction this season with its bags, moving away from the logo mania that is currently dominating Fendi stores. In fact, aside from the trim on one bag, Fendi’s instantly recognizable brown logo motif was nowhere to be found. There were perforated versions of the Peekaboo as well as a beautiful brocade fabric seen throughout the collection. Overall the bags were sleek and more refined than those of past collections.
