A Close Look at the Fendi Roma Amor Baguette Bag

Fashionable and fun, Fendi's newest Baguettes shine bright

Earlier this month Fendi released a capsule collection of bold, bright and fun RTW, bags, shoes and accessories. This collection was created in collaboration with graffiti artist Pref. The collection as a whole plays on weird, wacky and unique combinations. “Prints, patterns, textures, and colors – the more mismatched, the better” reads a caption on the brand’s social media page. There are many different bags in the collection, and everything from Peekaboos and Mon Tresor Bucket Bags have been reimagined in bold hues and patterns. Of course, Fendi included the Baguette, which is back and arguably bigger than ever, and today we’re giving you a detailed look at these must have bags.

Fendi Roma Amor Mini Baguette

First up in the bunch is the adorable Fendi Roma Amor Mini Baguette Bag in all over leather. Fendi’s iconic Baguette Bag is shrunken down in this mini shoulder bag with a flap and magnetic button closure. This mini bag features a long chain strap, which allows for the bag to be worn over the shoulder or cross body. There is also a mini top handle strap which works perfectly for a night time look. Both straps are completely removable, so this Baguette can also be carried as a clutch.

Made of textured leather the Roma Amor Mini Baguette comes in white with a neon green interior or bright pink with a neon coral interior. The interior is lined in leather and features two card slots on the back exterior. The bag is finished with gold-toned hardware and overall dimensions are 4.5″ L x 7.5″ W x 1.5″ D.

What fits? An iPhone X, a pack of gum, cards (ID, debit card, credit card) in interior card slots, a small cosmetic pouch.

Fendi Roma Amor Medium Baguette

For the logo obsessed, the Roma Amor collection also features an updated version of the Baguette in Fendi’s iconic brown double F logo canvas. The Fendi Roma Amor Medium Baguette is classically Fendi at its core, featuring a fabric jacquard FF motif with contrasting satin stitch trim embroidery in neon green, neon pink or black. The Medium Baguette can be carried by hand via the top handle or worn over the shoulder with the longer strap. Both straps are detachable and the shoulder strap is customized with a Fendi motif. The bag is finished with a flap closure and a magnetic button clasp gold toned logo. A fabric interior features one zippered pocket. Overall dimensions of the Fendi Roma Amor Medium Baguette are 5.5″ L x 10.5″ W x 1.6″ D.

Pink one is nice.

I like the baguette shape. It’s cute and classic. All the logos and embellishments on it are ugly though. It’s too soon to be nostalgic for the 2000s…to me that era is still ugly lol.

Bags are nice, but there is a little too much going on. However, love the white sundress! It’s so cute!

I’m in love with the minis but I’m confused about the prices. The minis range from $1,790 to like $2,400 for the fur ones. The fabric one is $1,980 but the suede one is 1,790? Then the Amor Roma leather one is also 1,980 But so is the velvet one. So weird. And I swear last week the fabric one was less than what it is now. And the FF embossed one is $2,100. Get it together Fendi! Like how their micro peekaboo went from $1,550 when it first came out now it’s $1,290.

The mini mon Tresor was $1,190 when it first came out now it’s $1,290 as well.

There was a significant price increase last week (mostly on the baguette)

Nothing new here. The logo bag is just too in-your-face. Minis are cute with great summer colors, but market’s already overloaded with tiny impractical bags. Won’t buy.
