Four Color Trends to Try This Fall

Bold, bright and red hot!

Fall 2025 Color Trends to Try

The fall 2025 runways were full of handbag trends, but now that the season has begun and we have a wider look at new bags (and more), we’re revisiting some of the larger color trends spotted throughout the season. If you love color, buckle up, because you’re in for a treat this season!

While the muted greys we first called out are definitely a thing, we’ve nailed down four more major color trends already proving to be big this season. Which ones are you going to try?

Red Hot Chili Pepper

Though red is one of those colors that never truly goes out of style, it made waves on the Fall 2025 runway, proving its power yet again. Fashion’s favorite color-but-can-act-as-a-neutral appeared on the runway at ValentinoFerragamoLouis Vuitton, and more.

The best part? This season’s hues are bright, bold, and statement-making, versus the more subdued, jewel-toned reds we often see.

Chartreuse Green

Green clearly has a new PR team, as the color in all its many forms has ruled 2020s fashion. From grass green (aka Bottega green) to emerald, olive green, and more—it doesn’t feel like a new fashion season unless a new shade of green reigns.

This season, it’s all about chartreuse, which began popping up on the runway for Spring and continued to make waves throughout the fall season at Gucci, Tory Burch, and more. Bold and bright, not your thing? Try matcha green, which is coming in at a close second.

Mocha Mousse

‘Tis the season for browns of every kind! We’re talking dark espresso browns, chocolate browns, and more. Like it or not, Pantone’s color of the year for 2025, Mocha Mousse, has actually turned out to be a popular hue this fall. From Prada and Miu Miu to Fendi and more, the not-quite-chocolate, not-quite-camel color is one to try this fall. Lucky for us, the hue works so well on suede.

Dark Purple

Don’t sleep on dark purple this season! Whether you prefer bold purple on the more royal side or one that leans more plum, purple is the up-and-comer to watch this season. Pops of purple made waves on the runways of Gucci, Miu Miu, Chloé, and more. From full-on looks to accessories like tights, shoes, and of course, bags, it’s a purple girl fall!
