Each season, the powerful duo of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons continue to wow at Prada, and that rang true once again yesterday at the brand’s Fall 2025 show. The collection is not just viewed; it’s felt, and that is the power of Prada.
It’s an intangible yet somehow distinct feeling, and it was portrayed not only through the clothes and accessories that walked the runway but also through the show set, soundtrack, and models who walked with pure intensity.
Mrs. Prada and Raf Simons continue to be inspired by the dialogue that fashion and our clothes create. This season, the conversation begins with a question: What does femininity mean today?
A Play on Proportions
That exact question is explored throughout, beginning with the very first look, in which the classic LBD—a symbol of femininity and a staple in a woman’s wardrobe—is “rescaled.” Other wardrobe essentials are present throughout: denim, knits, a staple white button-down, knee-length skirts, and more, each given a modern, stylistic twist meant to continue the dialogue at hand.
Proportions are explored, and Mrs. Prada and Raf Simons continue to play on the idea of classics with unexpected twists—a Prada archetype season after season. Only this season, those unexpected twists are meant to smash the idea of what is “perfectly” feminine.
Hems are lengthened, waists are loosened, and even the hair on models is messy and undone. Still, inherent nods to femininity, like bows, jeweled collars, and embellishments on knits and outerwear, offer a nice juxtaposition.

The Bags of Prada Fall 2025
When it came to the bags, the runway was full of them, and those craving a bit of newness will delight in this collection. Bags, like the ready-to-wear, play on proportions, and while some are more voluminous in size and material, others are distinctly feminine and offer a nice juxtaposition to the clothing.
A new leather silhouette is seen throughout this season, playing on the collection’s overall themes. Featuring a unique chain shoulder strap that is part function and part decoration, the bag’s soft leather creates a gathered appearance at its side. The delicate nature of the strap offers an interesting contrast to the voluminous shape of the bag, which is seen in bold red, dark brown, olive green, and aged cognac.

Two new lines of shoulder bags arrive in a few variations and feel the most feminine of the bunch. The first, a silhouette with a body that is slim but still offers a hint of volume from the side, pairs back to the rest of the collection. Its trapezoidal body is finished with a curved open top connected by two rings to the bag’s longer strap. It is shown in two sizes.

The second feels modern and contemporary. Its defining characteristic is stitching along the bag’s top, echoing its structured closure and creating a ruffle effect. It arrives in two sizes, with either a longer chain strap or a leather strap shown carried as a top handle.

Prada fans will immediately recognize a Prada classic—the Bowling bag, which was first seen in this iteration on the runway at Prada’s FW 2025 men’s show. Given a very of-the-moment, more east/west silhouette for the womenswear show, it appears in beautifully soft suede and tactile re-nylon—a nod to Prada’s heritage, it offers a distinct ’90s appeal.

More newness includes a cool chain bucket bag crafted from smooth leather, which contrasts the edginess of the chain and leather buckle strap. Roomy enough to pose as a daily haul-all, this bucket bag offers that distinct, cool-girl appeal.
Another bag ideal for daily carry is one of the collection’s most classic—a chic black top handle with clean lines and an elongated body. Offering just the right amount of both softness and structure, it possesses an elevated appeal that is distinctly Prada.

Other shapes include the Swing Bag in re-nylon, which first debuted last season in leather, and a mini bag, which once again plays with proportions. Offering an interesting complement to the bag’s billowy shape is a dainty chain that acts as a closure and a decorative detail. Lastly, a voluminous new mini shopper with a belted strap that also cinches the bag’s leather is a nod to Prada’s exploration within the ready-to-wear.

prada never misses ! great show and great review. Love to see it !
I love Prada but wish they got a new accessories designer
Prada has always been known to be very minimalistic retro and chic. If you’re proud of lover I’m sure this collection was just everything for you but for everybody else we’re kinda like let’s see something new and exciting.
I am loving the clean simple design of all these bags. Very classic and elegant.
I like the shoes and the bags – but the clothes were not it.
The shoes are horrible. A heavy seam over the toes? Looked cheap.
