Though the historic rookie season of Caitlin Clark ended when her Indiana Fever team was beaten in two games by the Connecticut Sun, Clark’s power and brand awareness in the WNBA remain. As a non-basketball fan, I don’t think I’ve watched as much basketball or heard it mentioned until this season.
The players of the WNBA further proved that the game’s arrival was a branding fashion moment this season. Leading into one of her last playoff games, Clark showed up sporting Coach. She paired a Coach leather double-breasted trench coat with a quilted Times Square Tabby and a soft Empire Carryall 48.

The Empire Strikes Again
When I first covered the Empire Carryall, it became evident that Coach had a hit on its hands. The bag continues to sell out (especially the size 48), and the design reinvigorated excitement for the brand. Stuart Vevers brought forth a design that gives an answer for multiple generations, with a casually approachable design in different sizes.
This design’s more worn, soft version (seen on Caitlin Clark) will be released soon, but the sleek and smooth version is currently available.

Leather Trench Coat, $1,800

She looks great, and I love all the Coach items she’s wearing. Though I wonder how long the sleeves must be, if they look so long on 6 ft tall Caitlin!
I was just trying to forget about this bag and then you go and post this pic!!! Ahhhhgggg! I need that bag so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha… sorry?? It’s a really great bag – I am so happy Coach made this!
