Ornate, unique embellishments are one of the many reasons that Christian Louboutin‘s loyal clientele keeps coming back for more, and in the designer’s Fall 2016 collection, there’s no shortage of detail in sight. We’ve already showed you some shoes from Louboutin’s Pre-Fall collection, and now that the Fall 2016 bags and shoes are making their way to online retailers, it’s time to check out the highlights from Louboutin’s latest collection.
Louboutin has already made a spot for himself among the footwear greats, and after checking out this collection in person a few months ago, I’m happy to report he’s also taking a giant step in the right direction when it comes to bags. The brand is debuting many new bag styles, and they’re both more detailed and more functional than past Louboutin designs. Earlier this year, we took a close look at the Paloma Tote, and at the time, the bag was only available in large and mini sizes and solid-colored leathers. This season, you can shop for the Paloma in a new medium size, as well as well a variety of textures and materials like python, fish scales and quirky patchwork.
If the Paloma Tote isn’t for you, your other top handle option from the brand is the Eloise. I had a chance to see the Eloise in person during the brand’s fall debut, and it was definitely one of my favorites. This portfolio-style tote is a functional day option, and it’s a bit more pared down than the Paloma. The handbag roster continues with brand’s new Eloise Hobo, a style of bag we predicted would make a major comeback. In addition, the brand’s Triloubi crossbody, which was introduced last spring, now comes in a smaller size and in more ornate designs and patterns. We even spotted Blake Lively rocking a Triloubi from this new collection in recent weeks.
As for shoes, suede and velvet footwear are in abundance in this collection, and the materials makes the brand’s shiny red soles feel even more luxurious. They come adorned with equally rich decorations, like crystals, studs, fur and pearls.

I used to be able to wear Louboutin, but the other day I slipped my feet into my python So Kates for the first time since I had my baby (I stopped wearing heels early in the second trimester) and realized that my feet are now too wide. I guess they do run a bit narrow, which was never a problem until I acquired linebacker feet.
I adore CL shoes when they are wearable…a couple of the boot styles above are going directly on my fall list…the flats, love! The high stilettos with the slippery bottom, no thanks! Real women have to get around all day and that is a lot of walking for me…fashion is important to me but there are a lot of really wonderful shoes that do not cripple you!
…I’m really in love with the malachite pattern…need to get the So Kate pumps asap!! Not too crazy about this pre-collection though…but you can’t win each time:)
I really like several bags — mostly the small Palomas, in particular the camouflage version (photo 17). Would carry the hobo as well. I love the Paris map shoes — if they came in a 50 heel as well as 70. The heels on almost all the other shoes are simply way too high for me, but putting that aside, love the shoes in photos 23, 33 (better than Valentino’s rockstud shoes, IMO), 34 (cool boots!) and 36. A very French, very stylish collection, overall.
Not a fan of much! I find them a bit tacky or OTT. I have a pair of his spiked heels in coral which I love and now I’m on the hunt for a pair of spiked flats in the yellow or black. The hunt continues…
