Your First Look at Brand New Chloé Bags Straight From the Spring 2020 Runway

Designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi's Spring bags are all her own...

When a new designer takes the reigns at a design house, it takes a few seasons for them to get into a groove. At Chloé, that’s exactly what happened when Natacha Ramsay-Levi took over for beloved designer Clare Waight Keller. Waight Keller was known for producing big bag hits such as the Drew and the Faye. And while Ramsay-Levi has introduced new designs for the brand, her collections have often played off of old favorites. However, for Spring 2020, Ramsay-Levi presented an accessories collection that is all her own. For a handbag heavy brand like Chloé, this is a big move on Ramsay-Levi’s part.

This collection is simplified a bit, offering different sizes and iterations of the same few bags. A new, baguette-like version of the current Tess bag appeared with a braided handle detailing, though Ramsay-Levi also introduced two completely new silhouettes for Spring 2020. As designers so often do these days, Chloé has already given us the scoop on these new designs. The first is a bowling bag, which was clutched by models via a braided top handle and shown unzipped. It’s called the Daria Bag, and it comes in a small and a large version and also features small top handles, as well as a longer cross body strap. Also new to the game, the Darryl bag is a cross between a hobo and a bucket bag. It’s less structured, with smooth rounded edges and a looped leather outline detailing. The Daryl was also shown in two sizes, a mini size as well as a larger version suited more for everyday. View the bags below.
