Chanel’s Pre-Collection Fall 2021 lookbook just dropped and we have the scoop on never-before-seen bags for you.

Not all brands do pre-collections, and most of the ones that do don’t present them as distinctly as Chanel does. Pre-Collection is the line that happens between Metiers d’Art and fall, and these bags have arrived to tide us over until the runway collection hits stores in September.

When it comes to Chanel’s Pre-Collection bags, they are great for people who prefer more wearable, consumer-friendly bags instead of the edgier and more collectable runway bags. That means fresh iterations on the Chanel signatures we all know and love. From quirky new versions of the Classic Flap (think tweed and sequins) to shearling totes and 19 bags, the bags are truly stunning. We’ve rounded up over a dozen of our favorites below.

Which one are you eyeing?

Am I the only person that does not like the fur-lined trim on any bag?

These prices are idiotic.

The Boy Bag and the Gabrielle Bags were the last times they actually came up with new, read – different, bags. These look like any bag from any season.

Agreed. Completely underwhelming and quite honestly, some look cheap imo.

I like the $4900 flap bag. The rest are meh. To be honest, mist of the other flaps and 19s are ugly.

Not looking at their prices yet, I don’t like any of them. What is going on Chanel?

Chanel only knows how to do one thing (flap bags) but does them really well so I can’t be too mad about it.

More Importantly, I just learned from an occupation tour in Paris that Coco Chanel was ANTI-SEMITIC
Why do we consciously support this brand. TROUBLED by this information.

You just learned this? Well, if it’s of any consolation the Chanel brand is owned by the Wertheimer Family. They’re very Jewish. The once anti-Semitic owner, Coco Chanel, is paying the family back handsomely! They’re laughing not only all the way to the bank but all the way to the synagogue too! ?

She wasn’t just antisemitic, she fully conspired with Nazis in Vichy France. Sure, we could just ‘move on’ because she (obviously) doesn’t run the brand anymore, but she is still very well featured in their stores, their dust bags, and in their brand ethos. Coco is the brand and the brand is coco. The house hasn’t done anything to remedy this past, I think they hope people forget about it. I don’t know why a bigger reckoning hasn’t happened tbh.

At some stage the past can stay in the past and we can move on. Chanel of now isn’t Chanel of that long ago.

The brothers who own Chanel are Jewish. We can’t change the past and Coco Chanel has been dead a long time.

I love the fact that most of these bags are timeless. Beautiful. Will work this season. Will work in ten years. That’s where Chanel wins.

I agree, Chanel can command a steep price increase because their design is consistent.
