When it comes to Chanel, devotees of the brand are incredibly blessed by the overwhelming number of new collections and bags that drop yearly. Some designer brands, but not all, offer pre-collections, and most of the ones that do sneak in a precursor to Fall’s larger collection don’t offer nearly as large of a selection as Chanel.
To top that off, bags, RTW, and accessories that are included in pre-collection are typically more mainstream in terms of wearability, making these pieces some of the most consumer-friendly (and sought-after) of the entire year.
You guessed it, that means new iterations of fan favorites. This season, new and old classics like the Chanel 22 and the Classic Flap are offered in seasonal materials like sherpa and bold fall-ready hues like red and deep lilac, all said to be inspired by the seventies and nineties. There are some newbies in the bunch too, and as a whole, Chanel Pre-Collection Fall 2023 is chock full of very wearable bags.

Chanel is no longer interesting, but embarrassing. The designs are unimaginative, repetitive and the prices? C’mon, it’s just a greedy money grab, not true luxury.
Ahh, Chanel, how long can your ruse last?
While I semi-like some of these bags, the prices are ridiculous. I used to pay a lot but I’ve grown up and gotten much smarter. I’ve crossed the hump where cash in the bank feels better than a glut of luxury items in my closet (and it never felt like it was enough, crazy!).

I saw a lady carrying a white Chanel 22 at the Skyclub the other day and it looked way better in person than in pictures.

I do like that Chanel 22 but I’m just too disgusted with their constant price increases. Perhaps I’ll find the perfect one on the secondary market.

I like the pink Deauville and the small hobo. The Boy top handle is cool. Other than that, the rest is meh. Even the ones I like are just okay. I have come to the realization that I’m just not into Chanel (except for the Trendy CC). Other things just grab my attention.
As we say in the UK, these bags are just ‘chavvy.’ Where are the elegant bags that Chanel used to be known for?
Not sure what you’re looking at but this collection is completely in line with what Chanel has been producing for the past three decades.
Was referring particularly to the small Deauville and the Hobo bag. It’s just my opinion, and I’m not particularly a Chanel fan, but they just look so ‘blingy.’ For me, Chanel was always about elegance.

I still love Chanel but the prices have more than doubled since I purchased my first bag. I want a rectangular mini…I guess I need to get it before another price increase. There are bags I am willing to save up and spend crazy prices for but the Chanel 22 just isn’t one of them. Does anyone have a 22 and just love it? I have heard the naysayers before about Chanel quality but I have never had any issues.
I just bought a medium black 22 and absolutely love it. It’s my everyday bag… fits a ton but things don’t get lost. I never wanted a 22 until I saw it on someone in person, then I was dying to have one.
I understand Chanel is a fashion house, but where is the design styling? All of these bags looks like passing fads, and the prices are ridiculous. When I bought my jumbo classic flap, it was just that – classic – and looking as good now as it did over 15 years ago. Same with the Trendy CC, another of my favorites. The “trendy” name is misleading, as it is another instant classic. Some of these newer bags look like they were made for teens.
These are seasonal bags… it doesn’t take away from the classics.

I absolutely LOVE Chanel. I’ve bought many over the last 30 years or so. Health problems have completely changed my lifestyle and I rarely get to wear my Chanel bags anymore. I plan to keep one versatile bag, but I plan to sell some others. Is there a reputable site for selling authentic Chanel bags?
