The Chanel Iconic Handbags of Spring/Summer 2021

Pictures of some of my favorite bags inside

In the bag world, a Chanel 11.12 bag is not just a known bag shape, it is a shape that defines the entire designer bag space. Those who love bags know it well, and those who are rarely acquainted with bags are just as familiar with Chanel Iconic Handbags. Created by Karl Lagerfeld upon his arrival in 1983, the 11.12 handbag reinterprets the iconic 2.55 handbag with immediately recognizable features: the CC clasp, the double flap, and the diamond quilting.

Each season new renditions are added that coincide with the collection as a whole, and for Spring/Summer 2021 beautiful tweeds and strass, iridescent lambskin, bright sequins, and more classic offerings make up the expansive collection. Each bag possesses the key elements of the iconic Classic Flap (the 11.12) but offers a different take on a bag that is not just meant for you, but for you to pass on for generations to come.

The CC Clasp is the timeless seal of the House, something that both stands out and blends in seamlessly. There is the internal double flap which allows this bag to be very organized, with the double C overstitched onto the fold to reveal the interior pockets. And of course, the signature stitching which shows a diamond pattern and is the other iconic house element.

We got a chance to see some of my favorite bags from Spring/Summer 2021 up close to share with you. The Clouded Iridescent Lambskin reminds me of a tropical sunset in the best way possible. There’s the Strass Mini bags, I prefer the version with the more colorful strass which catches the light beautifully. The Sequined Classic Flaps are works of art, with each sequin meticulously placed to spell out Chanel with a 3-D like effect. And I was really keen on both pairs of sunglasses (these and these) with metal frame detailing. Which is your favorite?
