Celebs Pack Into Valentino’s Resort 2018 Show with Valentino Bags, Naturally

Remember Rockstuds? Well you're about to get reacquainted

The parade of celebs crowding into the Valentino Resort 2018 fashion show in NYC very likely filled our photo needs for all of our celeb handbag round-ups through next Thursday. The parade to fashion’s front row is always a fashion show of its own, but women crept out from all corners of the fashion world to attend this particular Resort 2018 show, and color me intrigued. The bags on the runway were equally noteworthy, I’m sure. And if they weren’t, Amanda will be sure to tell you. Don’t miss a moment of PB’s extensive coverage of the Resort 2018 collections.

Christina Ricci

We should pay particular attention to everything Christina Ricci brought to the show, because it’s all Valentino, of course. Take a long look at her divinely simple, rockstud-free Valentino Panther Shoulder Bag, because I’m getting a vibe that we’ll be seeing a lot more of these. Shop the Valentino Panther Shoulder Bag via Nordstrom ($2,545)

Danielle Bernstein

Fashion blogger Danielle Bernstein probably didn’t know she’d be in direct competition with Christina Ricci for best attendee outfit when she left the house, but life comes at you fast sometimes. She brought along an extremely wee, intricately detailed Valentino My Rockstud Mini Bag. Shop the Valentino My Rockstud Mini Bag via mytheresa.com ($1,345)

Glenda Bailey

Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey did not feel inspired to bring a Valentino bag to a Valentino show, but when you’re at the top of your game, you don’t have to play ball! Glenda brought the Gabriela Hearst Nina Bag, just because she could.

Charlotte Groeneveld

Dutch blogger Charlotte Groeneveld of The Fashion Guitar attended the show with an eye-catching blue suede Valentino Rockstud Spikes Shoulder Bag. She’s wearing a lush, floral-patterned pantsuit that I want to wallpaper my home with. Shop the Valentino Rockstud Spikes Bag via farfetch.com ($2,795)

Helena Christensen

Danish model Helena Christensen chose this shimmering Valentino Rockstud Clutch to complete her full fashion show ensemble. Apparently Helena has been married to Paul Banks from the band Interpol since 2008, and I had no idea whatsoever. Shop the Valentino Rockstud Clutch via Net-a-Porter ($1,795)

Linda Fargo

Bergdorf Goodman’s director of women’s fashion arrived in head-to-toe Valentino and RED Valentino apparel, but she, like Glenda, left her Valentino handbag at home. She brought a black leather VBH Brera Bag instead. Shop the VBH Brera Bag via Neiman Marcus ($7,450)

Nicky Hilton

Nicky Hilton also brought a Valentino Rockstud Spikes Bag, and her version is luscious black velvet. This style has definitely gained some traction with celebs in recent weeks, but I don’t think celebs can figure out when the style works best: day or night? Shop the Valentino Rockstud Spikes Bag via farfetch.com ($2,595)

Olivia Palermo

Finally, here’s Olivia Palermo, who can always be depended on to bring the corresponding designer duds to a designer fashion show. She’s brought a beautiful, multicolored/patterned Valentino Lock Bag, and is also wearing a RED Valentino jacket, I’m guessing. Shop the Valentino Lock Bag via Neiman Marcus ($2,645)
