February might be short, but it hasn’t been short on style. We’re only halfway through the month, and we’ve already been blessed with many great bags (and outfits) toted by our favorite celebs. SNL brought Dakota Johnson and Jennifer Lopez to New York this month, and along with them came a parade, and a pricey one at that, of handbags.
The end of last week also marked the beginning of New York Fashion Week, which means a hustle and bustle of events, parties, shows, and more to keep up with. Chanel hosted a star-studded celebration in honor of the opening of its new fine jewelry boutique on Fifth Avenue, and of course, that means star-sightings with Chanel in hand.

Fun Fendis, a Pop of Red and More
Jennifer Lopez was spotted in New York before her SNL appearance last week. Before making headlines for ripping out her hair extensions during her performance, Lopez wore one of her many fur coats, perfectly paired with a Fendi Peekaboo.
Dua Lipa was spotted out and about in LA with her new boyfriend, actor Callum Turner. The singer, whose song Houdini, which debuted this fall, has been playing on a loop in most of our heads, carried Bottega Veneta’s new Gemelli bag while out for a stroll.
Dakota Johnson continues her handbag parade this month with not one but two more additions to her rotation. First up, she debuted the latest from Gucci, the new Gucci Jackie Notte, in an eye-catching red. Later that day, she carried a Bottega Veneta Sardine with a very Matrix-esque long leather coat. Slay (as the kids say).
The Chanel opening event brought out an array of stars. Mega-celebs like Katie Holmes, Elizabeth Olsen, and Natasha Lyonne, among others, brought out their best Chanel bags for a fun night.
Meanwhile, downtowners attended a NYFW kickoff party hosted by YSL Beauty. The party celebrated the brand’s one-day pop-up, inspired by the YSL Candy Glaze Lip Gloss. The pop-up opened to the public the following day, with TikTokers reportedly waiting six hours to get inside.
Of course, stars got a preview of the space before the crowds, and social media star and Millennial darling Tinx was one of many to attend the party. She carried a Fendi Baguette.
