Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that always sort of creeps up on us. It intersects with New York Fashion Week, meaning that date night style and celeb wears are often overshadowed by what’s happening outside of the shows. Not this year, though.
Rihanna and Beyonçé decided to bless us with the ULTIMATE in Valentine’s Day style last week. Their looks were too good not to discuss, particularly Rihanna’s, which included fur draped on her body and clutched in hand (more on that later). Meanwhile, Beyoncé served us head-to-toe red, complete with a perfect novelty bag, and we were obsessed.

If you needed another reason to steal Rihanna’s style, the star took her date night look to the next level when she stepped out in Paris for a Valentine’s dinner date. The style icon paired a vintage Dior skirt from the Spring/Summer 2004 collection with a ruffled top from Khaite.
Her accessories were the finishing touch, and once again, we’re left speechless at Rihanna’s vast collection of rare bags. This time, she opted to pair her fur with a Louis Vuitton Mink Monogram Pochette (coincidentally, also from 2004), and we are swooning.
As to be expected, this bag is impossible to find, but the last one on record sold for $4,500 via The RealReal, a steal tbh.
Beyoncé Goes Full Lady in Red
Meanwhile, in New York, after making a splash at the Luar show in Brooklyn, Beyoncé took Cupid’s day seriously, heading out for dinner in a (literally) red-hot look. Queen B paired a full-length latex coat with a red mini skirt by Marc Jacobs, a red body suit, Saint Laurent heels, and a red cowboy hat for dinner at East Village hot spot Claud.
The perfect little bag for Valentine’s Day, Beyoncé chose to complete her look with a printed version of Balenciaga’s Hourglass bag. It’s giving cowgirl meets the matrix, and we are here for it.
