Coachella is an event unlike any other. Referred to sometimes as the Olympics for influencers, Coachella is more than just an arts and music event. It’s a two-weekend event located in the California desert that’s heavy on music, and even heavier on star-spotting. A playground for celebrities and influencers alongside mere mortals as well, Coachella helped coin the term festival fashion. Because the event brings together some of the most fashionable and relevant pop culture icons, it’s a great place for bag-spotting.
Festival Fashion is Back
Canceled in both 2020 and 2021, this year, Coachella headed back to the desert, and festival goers converged on Indio, California this past weekend for the first weekend of the event. We spotted plenty of trendy looks accessorized with the best bags from Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Dior, and more.
I am so proud of not knowing any of these people hahaha.
Same here! 👍🏻
Now, I know that I am old. I recognized three people shown above. Initially I was Googling the people I did not recognize but then I gave up. Cute bags and outfits though
Nobodies then & now.
No idea who these people are.
Cute bags, but who are these people? Influencers? Models? Idk any of them. 🤷♀️
The line between influencers and models is very blurred these days, but the majority of the features here fall somewhere along those lines with the exception of Sydney Sweeney and Storm Reid who star in Euphoria on HBO, and Maeve Reilly who is a stylist famous for dressing Hailey Bieber and more!
Thanks, but based on the comments I’m not alone. 😊 I don’t watch enough HBO, etc. to know them. And, I have zero interest in stylists for anyone who thinks they’re famous because their publicist, agent, etc. pushes them in the media. For me, influencers don’t “influence” me since I know what I like. Also, they’re pushing a product not necessarily because they like it, but because they’re being paid to promote it.
Furthermore, their “status” is out of context for someone who has, Imo, earned it.
For me, someone with status is well established in the industry based on their extensive work and longevity. Today, it seems that anyone can hold some type of status, but they aren’t always recognizable. Times are changing and maybe I’m not, but I’ll take it. However, PB has readers of various ages and to retain their readers they need more posts to reflect differences in age and interests. 👛
I laughed when someone referred to Coachella as the influencer Olympics. Accurate imo.
Strange bag choices for a music festival held outdoors in the grass and dusty fields. Here hold my $2000 bag while I use portapotty and don’t spill any beer on it. I would be belt bag all the way. Also who are these people ? I recognize influencer Jules and I think Sara and Josephine are models?
More flash in the pan “celebrity wannabes,” Yawn.
I like Jasmines’s dress.
Everyone looks young, hot, and, having fun. And I don’t know who any of them are, ha ha. I guess that makes me old, frumpy, and out of touch, ha ha. Fun to see what the kids are into.
These comments show who your real demographics are. These photos are of babies who are probably given those bags for publicity in order to sell them to us who have classic taste and know what a passing trend is.
Is it sad that all I can see here are sunburns, dusty feet, and white clothing ruined forever?
I live in a desert area and I know what works & what doesn’t.
i know maybe there are 3 victorias secret models
