March is one of those months that can literally bring blistering cold wind with snow flurries one day and a 60-degree day the next. New Yorkers experience one too many of these, what we not-so-lovingly refer to as fake springs.
The celebrities below are a perfect representation of this, as we’ve got celeb sightings starring both a fur coat and a short-sleeved dress all in the same week! Temps (and corresponding dressing) aside, this week brought us some seriously great designer bags, and it was hard to narrow down our favorites, but alas, we did it!
Alicia Vikander
LV girl and actress Alicia Vikander was spotted in New York during the press tour for her new sci-fi film The Assessment, which she stars in alongside Elizabeth Olsen. She wore a ladylike tweed dress by Self-Portrait, which she paired with Celine Triomphe Sunnies and Louis Vuitton’s latest bag.
Vikander has been a friend of the Maison for many years, so it’s not surprising that the star already got her hands on the Biker bag. The edgy design of the Biker adds a nice juxtaposition to the feminine chicness of her mini dress.
Ellen Pompeo
Meredith Grey—I mean Ellen Pompeo—wore a sleek and effortlessly stylish look in New York while out and about promoting her new Hulu series Good American Family.
This look is quiet luxury at its finest. All the elements are there, from her classic trench and perfect-wash denim to her classic Kelly bag; this look doesn’t immediately clock in as expensive, but isn’t that the point of quiet luxury overall?
Is this a $1,500 The Row sweater or one from Zara? The world may never know…

Speaking of quiet luxury, next, we’re popping over to Paris for a minute, where we spotted the short-haired queen Kendall Jenner looking Parisian chic in a simple but stylish look. She carried the latest must-have bag from The Row (of course), the new Marlo bag.
Parker Posey
Life imitated art last Thursday night when Ms. Parker Posey stepped out in New York with a Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag. We can 100% imagine Posey’s character in White Lotus wearing a look like this on-screen if the show was set in a fall/winter climate. Just look at the shoes!!
I love Parker Posey’s look, but what I love more is that women of a certain age in Hollywood are getting the attention they deserve. I feel like Parker Posey, Demi Moore, and others who have worked their asses off have long been an afterthought but are now getting attention, and roles, and younger fans. I love to see this!
