Here's something I don't get to wax on about nearly enough for my liking: Netflix celebrities. If you're a fellow cord-cutter, you're probably aware that a well-received Netflix series can quietly boost the celebrity profile of actors and actresses that have had a harder time finding success on network television, who haven't worked in a while (by choice or not) or who are way more popular across the pond. But whether you prefer to spend your evenings with a slightly-too-edgy-for-primetime Marvel venture like Jessica Jones, a gritty BBC drama or the nostalgia-laden Full House reboot, I think we're all secretly asking ourselves the same question: which handbags do these people carry off-set? Below, we answer that question, plus a few more about celebrities who do not yet have Netflix shows.
Wilby Bailey Saddle Bag
£80 via Wilby
Alicia Silverstone was recently spotted in Soho with a vegan handbag from the British vegan handbag label Wilby. (Alicia seems like a prime candidate for a decent Netflix series.) As you probably remember, Alicia is a very outspoken vegan, and she both talks the talk and walks the walk. This "cork leather" Wilby bag comes in several different colors, and Wilby has a wide selection of attractive and affordable vegan bags.
The Row Two for One 12th Tote
$2,750 via Neiman Marcus
Here's Ashley Olsen, trying to avoid the paps in NYC while carrying an embroidered bag from her own label. This is one of The Row's newest bags, and as its name suggests, it is two bags in one, essentially. The tote bag holds a removable suede pouch, which could be carried separately. The Two for One is widely available online now, but we don't know when or if this embroidered version will ever make it to stores.
Fendi DotCom Bag
$2,400 via Bergdorf Goodman
Jessica Alba was recently seen out and about with her daughters and husband in Santa Monica. As you can see, she's carrying the Fendi Dotcom Bag paired with a strap that is definitely sold separately. I like the design of this bag so much that I can almost forgive its ridiculous style name. Almost.
Gucci GG Supreme Tote
$1,890 via Gucci
Here's Jodie Sweetin, leaving Dancing with the Stars rehearsals with a fun logo'd Gucci GG Supreme Tote. (All it takes is one Netflix reboot of your insanely popular sitcom from the 90s to get you back in the public's favor.)
Is there a single day of the week when one of the Kardashians isn't getting something lasered off in Beverly Hills? Ample evidence from our photo service leads me to believe that there is not. Here's Kim leaving Epione Skin Clinic with a small, black, 30cm Hermès Birkin.
Alexander McQueen Legend Bag
$1,995 via Saks
I'm far more excited about having the opportunity to talk about KRYSTEN RITTER. Krysten recently breezed through LAX with a black leather Alexander McQueen Legend Bag, which is a bag truly befitting someone who plays a kick-ass superhero in one of Netflix's most popular drama series. We loved you in Jessica Jones, Krysten!
Fendi Be Baguette Bag
$1,377 via Bluefly
Stars! They're just like us. Sometimes they impulse buy a bunch of magazines instead of just subscribing to all of them online, which is far more economical. Reese is carrying a bright blue Fendi Be Baguette, which some how expertly matches the shades of her sunglasses. (Can someone ID those? Why do they look so magical?)
