It’s an overwhelming time of year to be a fashion watcher. Not only is it red carpet season, but Pre-Fall 2016 shows still popping up and Paris Couture Week is happening as we speak. In addition to all that (and, most importantly for dedicated shoppers), new arrivals from spring collections are pouring into stores. Because I am both a fashion watcher and a dedicated shopper, you can imagine that I’ll be hospitalized for exhaustion at any second.
Somehow, though, I’ve summoned the strength to do a little hypothetical shopping for myself (I’m a hero, I know), and I’ve made a list of ten things that are already threatening to bust my spring shopping budget. Take a look at them below, and yes, I do wear this much black when it’s warm outside.
Balenciaga Mini Papier A4 Zip Around Tote
$1,395 via Balenciaga
Balenciaga was one of my first handbag loves, and although I haven’t bought one in years, I still love the brand’s classics. This color is spring-appropriate but will still go with my generally dark wardrobe.
Céline Agnes Sunglasses
$445 via Céline
I’d like this pair even better if it were made of greyscaled tortoiseshell, but other than that, they’re pretty perfect.
Chloé Faye Bag
$1,950 via Neiman Marcus
The Faye is both super sharp and very casual, which is a difficult mix to find. It also gets bonus points from me for its silver hardware, which I much prefer to the more common gold.
Gianvito Rossi Cheyenne Sandals
$1,095 via Neiman Marcus
I came across these sandals accidentally a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been thinking about them every since. I wear a lot of black linen in warm weather, and they’d be the perfect offsetting accessory.
Melissa Joy Manning 14k Gold Herkimer Diamond Ring
$500 via Net-a-Porter
This is another piece I’ve had on my mind for a while. I recommended it as a potential holiday gift last month, and I haven’t stopped imagining it on my finger since.
Nike Roshe One Floral Sneaker
$85 via Net-a-Porter
Aesthetically, I’ll take a good pair of seasonal Nikes over a designer sneaker almost every time. This pair is gorgeous and only $85.
Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Precious Oil
$80 via Macy’s
Of course I want to put rose stem cells on my face. How could I not?
Rick Owens Nubuck Bomber Jacket
$1,555 via Net-a-Porter
I never understood what “light jacket weather” was until I moved from Atlanta to New York, and I’m still building up my outerwear wardrobe. I love this one because it’s a halfway point between a sporty bomber and a leather jacket.
T by Alexander Wang Classic Racerback Maxi Dress
$120 via Net-a-Porter
A dress like this is great for a seasonal transition because it provides some leg coverage without billowing like a true summer maxi. I’s also great for layering with sweaters and jackets.
Urban Decay Naked Smokey Eye Palette
$54 via Macy’s
Smokey eyes may not be the first thing you think of for spring makeup, but this palette allows for lots of softer combinations that would look great all year.
