The 11 Things Amanda Wants in Her Fall 2017 Wardrobe Immediately, If Not Sooner

Fall new arrivals have given our editor a serious case of the shoppies

Labor Day is on the horizon in the US, and that means the unofficial start of fall, even though it’s still gonna be pretty hot for a month. New Yorkers love to convince themselves September is a cool month, but it isn’t! You wouldn’t know that by what’s in all the stores, though: fall arrivals are hitting shelves left and right, and that has left me with a serious case of the shoppies.

Lately I’ve been putting all my extra spending money into new decor for the apartment I just moved into, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t taken note of some new things I’d like to add to my wardrobe, if money were no object. Take a look at some of my fall inspiration before.

Acne Deka Oversized Sweater
$500 via Net-a-Porter

I hate heavy clothing and high necklines, so winter is basically the worst for me. Oversized sweaters with V necklines, like this one, are my saving grace.

Céline Small Soft Cube Bag
$1,700 via Céline

I’ve been obsessed with this bag’s simplicity and functionality since I first laid eyes on it.

Chloé Crepe Tassel Jumpsuit
$2,395 via Net-a-Porter

The older I get, the less I want to be bothered by putting together outfits. As a result, I’ve been wearing a lot more dresses this summer than I have in years, and I have a feeling that’s going to spill over into fall. Anything black and low-necked is perfect for me.

Dolce Vita Bardot Velvet Combat Boots
$160 via Shopbop

I’m adore velvet as a trend, and the low price and functional nature of these velvet boots makes them a worthy seasonal mini-splurge.

Gucci Marmont Camera Bag
$1,690 via Gucci

This size and shape of bag is one of my favorites. It fits more than you’d ever expect (and plenty for my daily needs), but it’s not big, per se. It’s just right.

Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis Bag
$2,630 via Louis Vuitton

I redeclare my love for the Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis every couple months, and this new version for Fall 2017 does a great job balancing out the logo fabric with leather details.

Prada Corsaire Bag
$1,420 via Net-a-Porter

The use of velvet on this perfect little saddle bag is subtle, so it won’t feel too trendy when I pull it out of my closet next year.

Prada Wanderer Glasses
$390 via Shopbop

My current glasses are gray tortoise shell and I love them, and this sleek, slightly cat-eyed version would be a lovely addition to my daily lineup.

Soludos Venetian Mules
$149 via Shopbop

I’m not so sure I love closed-toed mules, but I’m interested in experimenting, and this is exactly the kind of style I’d want at a price point that would help me feel a little adventurous.

The Row Sarene Cashmere Cardigan
$1,490 via Net-a-Porter

I mean, who doesn’t want to be swaddled in loose-fitting black cashmere?

Vince Quilted Bomber Jacket
$485 via Net-a-Porter

I, for one, am happy to see bombers stick around for another year; they’re a great option for the in-between times when a jean jacket isn’t enough and a parka is too much.
