5 Cool Brands We Recently Fell for on Instagram

Sometimes even we crave a little something other than premium designer

@thesantofficial

THE SANT caught my eye for its minimalist designs with a twist. Born in Barcelona, THE SANT mixes geometric shapes with artistic, avant garden elements. The result is innovative and unique designs that are both interesting and relevant. Additionally, the bags are made of high quality leather and hardware resulting in lustworthy designs that stand out. Shop via Net-a-Porter

@nunoobags

Danish brand Núnoo was created by two sisters with a vision—they wanted to create quality bags at affordable prices. The result is a cool, edgy line of easy and super wearable pieces that are both on-trend and reasonably priced. This brand captured my attention when I noticed they had a pop-up at Chillhouse, a cool spa/cafe hybrid that’s located in my NYC neighborhood. Coincidentally, the following week their PR team reached out to me and sent me the Gina bucket bag. While I loved the design right away, when I got my hands on the bag itself, I was incredibly surprised that the quality really is there too. Shop via Shopbop.

@mlouye

Mlouye was founded in Istanbul, Turkey in 2015 by industrial designer Meb Rure. With sustainability in mind, Mlouye’s designs marry architectural elements with quality materials. The result is quirky, cool designs that are a welcome change from what other designers are currently producing. Innovation and aesthetic are at the forefront of Rue’s mind, and both principals are incredibly aparent in Mlouye’s silhouettes. Shop via Shopbop.

@buildingblock

You’re probably no stranger to Building Block, which is a design studio that was founded in LA in 2011. We’ve featured it on the site a couple of times before, but until I did a deep dive into the brand’s instagram feed, it wasn’t exactly at the forefront of my mind. Building Block’s designs are on the more minimalist side, but the designs are a bit less modern and more timeless, striking a balance which many minimalist bag brands fail to do. Shop via Net-a-Porter.

@naturaesacra

Lastly, Naturae Sacra, which means ”mysterious – holy” in Latin is a contemporary bag brand that marries geometric, yet elegant lines with elements found in nature. The bags are designed in Milan and handmade in Turkey, putting a focus on skilled craftsmanship. Each handle is made of resin, resulting in a one of a kind, distinctive finish. The end result is silhouettes that are sophisticated, eye-catching and incredibly fresh. Shop via Net-a-Porter.
