With the Fourth of July behind us, the official countdown to Labor Day is on. I don’t know about you, but I’m doing everything in my power to soak in every minute of summer. (Seriously, how is it already July?)
With more than two months left of the best time of the year, you’ve got just enough time to add a seasonal bag to your collection. In this case, I’m talking anything made of wicker, rope, or straw.
Speaking of, these bags are the perfect companion to a day spent cruising on a boat or a pool-turned-happy-hour soirée. Why? The answer’s simple: You’ll never see me parading a leather bag by the pool. Hours of direct sunlight plus the potential for chlorine water damage equals a serious disaster. (Just the thought makes my stomach turn.) Wicker and fabric, on the other hand? They’re practically made for the outdoors.
No need to spend a month’s worth of savings to get yourself a cute addition either. Many of these bags are under the $500 mark. But of course, if you’re looking for something a little fancier, I found a trendy Dolce & Gabbana Convertible Wicker Box Bag, as well as Miu Miu Embellished Straw and Leather Crossbody Bag. (Yes, I know the latter includes a little bit of leather. It’s cute though, so I think it’s worth an exception.)
Which one are you eyeing? Realistically, I’d go for the Le Nine Nina Small Bucket Bag. It’s small and chic, the price is fair, and I’m never one to turn down some sparkle.
