When I purchased my Saint Laurent Envelope Bag last year, I fell in love with the envelope shape of the flap on the front of the bag. Quite literally the focal point of the design, I suppose it’s no surprise that I have a thing for envelope designs. Over a year later, my Saint Laurent Envelope continues to be one of the favorites in my collection and is definitely a staple in my wardrobe. One of my go-to bags for everyday wear, I consider it one of my favorite bags I’ve purchased to date.
Ever since acquiring the Saint Laurent Envelope, I have found myself gravitating towards other envelope style handbags. The envelope flap functions as any crossbody bag does, but the sharper, clean lines give the bag an edgier aesthetic than your average flap closure. The flap draws your eye in and becomes the focal point of the bag, which is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
