As not only a fan of Alexander Wang but also an owner and wearer of both his clothes and accessories, I always look forward to new stuff popping up from him anywhere I might find it. When I saw the listing for the Alexander Wang Spring 2012 presale on Moda Operandi last week, I got especially excited, but now that it’s here, the handbag offerings look a tad…disappointing.
Although the sale offers a few runway shoes, the slick, sport-inspired backpacks that graced Wang’s Spring 2012 catwalk are nowhere to be seen. Instead, they’ve got a couple of new colors or materials for the brand’s old favorites, like the Rocco Duffel or Diego Bucket Bag. I do like the eelskin iPad case and Rafael Satchel, but other than that, I’ll wait to see the rest of Wang’s spring collection before buying. I think I will pass on the bags, but the pointy toe sandals that went down the runway I am looking to purchase.
The feature bag is pretty cool, although a rather similar shape to the Celine ones? Other than that, seems like reruns of past seasons.

The featured bags strikes me as a cross betwwen the Louis Vuitton Eclipse and James Dean’s motorcycle jacket. It’s got ‘problem’ child written all over it. It’s like a dog at the pound that you don’t dare adopt.
