Are any of you YouTubers? There is this entirely separate YouTube world roaming on the internet. We have a channel that is updated very sporadically but we are planning to create more videos in the upcoming year.

Anyhow, one of my good friends, Elle Fowler, is a YouTube beauty guru under the name AllthatGlitters21. In the world of YouTube, ‘Tag’ videos are huge. While I was chatting with Elle, she told me she was finishing filming a Holiday Tag Video (here is hers). The premise is you answer a bunch of questions and tag other YouTubers, hence this being called a tag video (or post for our purposes). For a bit of something different for PurseBlog, I decided to answer this tag and share it with you all. I added a few questions and tweaked the questions to be for Christmas (which is what I celebrate), but you can change the questions to be for the holiday you celebrate. Join me and share your answers in the comments section!

1. What is your favorite holiday movie?

Love Actually – this is the quintessentially perfect holiday movie! Vlad and I have started a tradition to watch this movie Christmas morning. It gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside.

2. Do you like to stay in your PJ’s or dress up for Christmas?

I start the morning in PJ’s when I open gifts and then *try* to change into ‘real’ clothes later in the day. We do dress up for a Christmas Eve party we go to every year though.

3. If you could only buy one person a present this year, who would it be?

Anyone who may not be able to get or give a gift.

4. Have you ever built a gingerbread house?

Of course, I love making them and eating all of the ingredients!

5. What do you like to do on your holiday break?

Shop, relax, and look at the lights and decorations people put up. Holiday break has always been about spending time with family and relaxing.

6. Favorite holiday smell?

The smell of pine trees. I am obsessed with the Yankee Candle Mistletoe scent!

7. Favorite holiday meal or treat?

COOKIES. And hot chocolate. Lots and lots of sweets.

8. What is your favorite gift you purchased for someone ELSE this year?

I can’t tell, because they all read this site – but I can say they are sentimental gifts that I think the people receiving them will truly love.

9. What handbag is on your holiday wish list?

MANY! But mostly I am lusting after a Proenza Schouler PS1, Celine Classic Box Bag, and a Balenciaga City!

10. What handbag do you plan to carry on New Year’s Eve?

I haven’t decided yet – but it has to be a fun and funky clutch! Anything metallic or sequined would be ideal. New Year’s Eve is all about fun and I plan to carry an eye-catching clutch when we ring in 2011.

(You left out fav. holiday color and do you open presents the eve or morn. Since I don’t have any handbags I want or will wear on New year’s eve, I’ll substutute those.)
    Oh, and elle sent me.
    1. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer- you know, the one with the blue monster and Clarice and the snowman with the umbrella. We’ve all seen it. Oh, what a classic.
    2. Neither really- I wear slightly dressy, but normal clothes. I don’t really go anywhere, so this is okay in my house.
    3. My little brother. I know that for him the Christmas magic is so big and I know that the things my parents appreciate most some from the heart, such as the gift of time (or in my case, time off!) or a handmade gift.
    4. Duh, who hasn’t? Decorate the pieces of one today.
5 Shop, relax, do homework (kindof) spend time with family, clean and decorate my room, etc.
    6. Er…I’d say Mincemeat. I love mini mince pies! (Scots thing)
    7. Mince pies. Or gingerbread. Or sparkling grap juice. No, mince pies, hands down.
    8. Probably the music box for brother- I used to have one and it was my favorite toy, played row row row the boat- and I lost it when we moved house. I must’ve left it behind, I was very little. This toy brings back memories as I haven’t seen one anything like it since that move.
    9. *fav. holiday color* Cranberry
    10. *open presents morning or eve* Eve, of course, santa hasn’t come yet, and none of our presents are under the tree!

Thanks for changing it up for yourself Rachel (and for answering!). I took a few of Elle’s questions out so I could add some handbag ones

  • vanessa

1.My Fair Lady – just because it reminds me of family time..good old fashioned family time.
2.Peter Alexander PJ’s – can almost wear them out!!!
3.My Mum – and I would buy her a Camenae travel clutch
4.Yes – but it collapsed by the following morning in the humidity
5.Eat, drink and read books, books, books…….
6.Cinnamon – huge fresh chunks of it and in a spray bottle
    7.Brandy butter with plum pudding
    8.Camenae pochette for my sister
    9.Camenae Calypso in Halo Gold
    10.mmmmmm has to be a Camenae – it’s an obsession…..

  • CarolineLondon

    1. Miracle on 34th Street. Seriously. Don’t ask.
    2. PJs for first round of presents, but has to be real clothes cause we go to church on Christmas morning!
    3. Someone who really needs it. My church has links with a homeless shelter in east London, and I collect all the aeroplane and hotel toiletries from people in the office to donate, and that actually feels pretty good.
    4. Er, no…
    5. Sleep. A lot.
    6. Real Christmas trees. Also that really really cold smell of proper fresh air.
    7. Eating chocolate for breakfast on Christmas day. A family tradition!
    8. I think I did a pretty good job this year, and my fave presents I’m giving are goggle wipe piste maps of the ski resort my friends and I are going to, to the friends who are coming on the trip. I wish I’d bought myself one!
    9. Chanel 2.55 but clearly not going to get one.
    10. I’ll be at my friend’s house for the weekend – I won’t need one! I expect my old faithful LV Multiplicite will be lurking in a corner somewhere though.

    1. Folk’s will roll their eyes and say they are sick and tired of this movie but I LOVE “Christmas Story”. We avoid watching it on TV all season long then Christmas eve we watch it.

    2. Wear pj’s in the morning, then dress, very casual (jeans, tennis shoes and top) and hang out the rest of the day. Talking, napping, eating, playing, napping some more.

    3. I would donate the cash, in honor of my family, to a shelter that needs it.

    4. I never have and don’t have the desire to do so. I probably shouldn’t admit this outloud but I cannot stand the taste of gingerbread. Like looking at the gingerbread houses but that’s as far as it goes.

    5. Veg in front of the fireplace with hubby drinking apple cider and talking. Shopping in stores and on the internet. Spending time with family. Driving around looking at Christmas lights.

    6. Cinnamon!!!

    7. Favorite treat is my grandma’s homemade fudge. It’s the only time of the year I’ll eat fudge.

    8. My niece wants to color her hair blonde (momma approved) so I am giving her a day at the spay with the works, including haircolor, and a year’s worth of maintenance on said hair.

    9. I really don’t have one, but for this Q&A I will say this…a leather bag that comes in the perfect shade of true red. The closest thing I could find was the Mulberry Bayswater bag but I don’t like the gold hardware and it resembles the Talbots door (lol).

    10. Carlos Falchi Clutch in metalic blue with gold hardware (it has a hidden chain so that when I get tired of holding it I can drap it on my shoulder and not worry about losing it)

    • Stacy

oopss…#8: should be SPA not spay. haha

  • Lorie

Oh how cool! I love Elle’s videos (especially her “What’s in my bag” and ANY “haul” videos) and Blair’s too! I’ve been a fan for awhile now.

  • Kat

#1- Love Actually. Every story is lovely and heartwarming and sweet.

#2- We dress up, since we go to visit the grandparents for lunch.

#3- My mom. She deserves everything I can give her.

#4- No, that’s not really a Christmas tradition where I live.

    #5- Relax, read and sleep… a lot.

#6- The smell of whatever it is we’re cooking for Christmas

#7- All the lovely desserts. Cookies, brownies, lemon bars, butterscotch… yum.

#8- My dad’s Fred Perry jacket, my mom’s special cooking pans that I had to hide from her in my luggage.

#9- The Bottega Veneta Cabat is my ultimate dream bag, but I’m currently lusting after a cornflower blue Prada Saffiano Lux Top Handle bag. A Chanel Jumbo Flap will suffice, too. Haha.

    #10- I won’t be carrying one. :)

    2. In the morning, I usually lounge around in my Juicy but then I get dressed up for family dinner at my parents.

    3. Anyone who is less fortunate than I am.

    4. Absolutely, one of my favorite holiday traditions!

    5. I enjoy catching up with friends and family, relaxing, watching movies and shopping!

    6. All of the homemade cooking!

    7. My grandma’s Scotcheroos!

    8. My brothers and I purchased a new Rolex for my mom and one for my dad!

    9. Either a pink Prada Raso Stone Clutch or a red Nancy Gonzalez Linda Satchel (I saw some Bergdorf shopping bags in my mom’s closet so I’m crossing my fingers)!

    10. My silver Chanel Medium Classic Flap! That bag was really made for New Years Eve!

Inside a jewellery crafting class, you will have a teacher which could teach you getting such things as bead knotting and closing crimps done right. Out of your teacher, you may also learn many different associated with Thomas and Sabo, along with some tips in picking out your own personal designs and in all probability in setting up your own jewellery shop. One more apparent benifit of attending a category is that you arrive at share your learning experience with all the other people who are taking the class along with you. If you are a social particular person,Tom Sabo this chance for interaction with your peers can be quite a useful thing. You may also network with these once you establish Thomas Sabo Jewellery creating company in the foreseeable future.
