Kate Spade bags are known to implement laid back style, but the Tracy Collection features some bags with a different feel for Spade. The Kate Spade Tracy Patent Satchel feels sporty with the perforation yet chic with the trendy red patent leather. For what you get, the price is very reasonable, considering that 14-karat yellow gold hardware is used. Easy to wipe off, tons of bold color, and a good size, 4 1/2″H x 14″W x 5″D, makes this Kate Spade number a perfect everyday bag contender. Via Neiman Marcus for $395 (under $400 with 14k gold and leather makes this bag a great deal!

One of the best places to vacation in the US in my opinion is the Northeast. Granted, on a different day I will tell you a different place, but Nantucket and Cape Cod are both gorgeous and relaxing towns. There is a small town atmosphere, along with the feeling of lots of relaxed big money, but they are an ideal beach town and get away town. Kate Spade has released the Cape Cod Collection, which brings to the forefront of the the most regonizable animals in sea life from this area, the lobster. The lobster claw and body is a cunning symbol for this beach town and perfect to go along with the relaxed feeling of the Kate Spade Cape Cod Collection. I love the shape of the Cape Cod Pailette Maya which goes for $595. It is time to get our minds off the wind, snow, and rain of this crazy winter and onto the seashells, lobster, and beaches of summer. Check out the entire Cape Code Collection at Kate Spade.

Who doesn’t have a hobby? I feel pretty safe to assume that we all have had at least one hobby in our lives and most likely dabbled with many more. I can laugh at it now, but I loved Ninja Turtles. What little girl does that?! I collected them and had a collectors carrying case. That may be much of the reason why my family laughs at me now for being such a fashion guru. Kate Spade has put hobbies to the test with some of her bags. The Kate Spade Hobby Gardening Tote boats a gardening theme screen print on the cotton canvas bag. The tote looks like it would fit perfectly under the arm and you really could take it out to your garden with you. Actually, if you lived in Germany for example, you could take it to your Strebergarten. There are four exterior slide pockets and the interior is lined with cotton twill and has a double slide pocket and zip pocket. The tote measures 10 1/2″h x 15 3/4″w x 7 3/4″d and is available via Kate Spade online for the sale price of $123.

But if you love going on weekend picnics, you may want to opt for the Kate Spade Hobby Picnic Tote. Showing off a screen print fork, knife, and spoon, this could be the perfect picnic basket-bag that you may be looking for. Also marked down via Kate Spade for $123.

And Viewer’s Choice Monday is back at you! Actually, it never quite went away, but the thread got a little lost in space and noone was aware this was still happening. But it is, so smile and let’s see what some of the reader’s want to hear about today. One of our most loyal readers and quite the bugetnista herself, Chemlex, has pointed our way towards the Kate Spade Rivington-Gisele Handbag. For a perfect little handbag, Kate has implemented the chic use of mettalic leather with a matte finish. Bringing in two of our favorite shiny colors, this sleek bag uses both gold and silver matte leather and is accented with nickel-tone hardware. The bag closes via a flap closure and has an interior zip pocket to hide the little necessities we all carry. Keep in mind that the width and height of this bag make the bag seem like it would carry a little more than it truly till, because the depth is a mere inch (11″W x 6″H x 1″D). Grab this beauty via Nordstrom for $223.90 (of course a marked down price!)

Little to my mother’s knowledge, my dad actually likes modern art, modern homes, just mod style. Wow. Who would have thought that? Trust me, if you knew my dad, you wouldn’t. My mom on the other hand loves traditional comfort and coziness. For all the years they have been married, my mom just recently found out from my dad that all the while when she designed and decorated our homes, he actually liked something else. Wow, what a man. So when I spotted this bag I immediately began to wonder if my dad would like it, but my mom would not.
To many of us, Kate Spade manifests itself in clean and sleek designs. The Kate Spade Easton as Four Circle Bag puts the mod in modern. Because I didn’t know any of this info, I must let Kate Spade’s site explain it to you: “A jewel of the Chesapeake Bay, Easton is known primarily for its abundant waterfowl, Audubon Society wetlands, and, of course, the Easton Decoy Festival, a celebration of America’s beloved hunting accoutrement. The bright cotton canvas recalls the marine tradition that is at the heart of this historic bayside town.” Yep, I couldn’t have told you anything like that in my own words and made it make sense. This bag is completely modern, completely, edgy, and completely chic. I wonder if last weeks challenge on America’s Next Top Model could have been made a little more mod with this bag. This circle bag is line with Saratoga Springs print cotton. Available in either orange or hibiscus pink, I would definitely opt for the pink. I believe some of the most fashionable of us could pull this off- the question is do any of you want to? Buy this totally modern bag through Kate Spade for $225.

By the looks of the new fabrics coming out, it is evident that fall/winter 2005 is on its way. It seems like only yesterday I was looking forward to summer. Well summer is here and almost over (my 2 month vacation is reaching its half way point- dang). But the new handbags are making their way out- which we have all noticed- and it has me quite excited. Realizing that I haven’t featured enough evening bags, I wanted to find a fun one for the upcoming season. I got it! The Kate Spade Olivia Velvet and Gold Evening Bag intertwines a bright and bold color of summer with a fabric of fall/winter - velvet. I consider this bag quite bold for Kate Spade (although the designer has been making more statements lately than the older more plain bags). Made of pink gathered velvet and gold hardware, this bag is sure to brighten up any outfit. There is also a gold chain which you could opt not to use and simply carry the bag as a clutch or you could use it as a strap. The inside of the bag contains a small pocket and is lined in a taupe colored satin. This bag could make your outfit a hit for $335 through Net-A-Porter.
*Check out this posh and fun dress Net-A-Porter models the clutch off with! The dress is made by Anna Sui and will be available soon for those of you who can pull a number like that off!

Anyone remember the song, “I don’t want to grow up, I’ma Toys’ R Us kid!” That song was my personal song for quite some time. I never wanted to be ‘old’. Gasp, it happened. Without me even knowing, I went through school and life and now I’m a grown-up. Somehow I’m not surprised that I didn’t dodge growing up. But with age came a job and a new look. A new look means new clothes and bags! I love being a grown-up (only for those shallow reasons really). Kate Spade has designed a new ‘grown-up’ bag that I have fallen in love with. The Kate Spade Glazed Calfskin Tote is a rich chocolate brown glazed calfskin tote with ring top handles. The bag is also has white topstitching, a stamped logo, and golden keepers. I don’t think I would carry this bag everyday (sometimes there are too many things that need to be carried thus I need the use of shoulder straps), but this would sure make an impression in the board room. Think of the scenes in the movies where the boss lady goes into the board room for an urgent meeting, throws her briefcase down on the table, lets out a loud sigh, places both hands on the table, looks at the room and says, “So where do we stand?”. My story may be far off, but just pretend it made sense, and just picture the lady carrying this Kate Spade tote. It works, doesn’t it? If you want to make a statement in the world of ‘grown-ups’ you can buy this bag for $455 through Neiman Marcus.

If your mother is a new mother, a new diaper bag is not only a nice idea but a necessity for new mommies and their babies. There are two diaper bags that can be either for a baby boy or girl and can show off the mother’s sense of style (even when she is actually beyond exhausted). First I want to delve into the glorified simplicity of designer Kate Spade with her Kate Spade Large Baby Bag. The baby bag is made of cotton canvas with adorable doodle-print nylon changing pad and lining. Other necessary features include double shoulder straps, leather tie closure, four open and one zipper pocket inside and comes sized at 10½”H X 15″L X 5½”W. I would chose this hot number for a mommie with a new baby boy, because the blue color is simple and divine. For a not so bad price, you can find this baby bag for $325.00 at Saks.
Now for my pick for the mommie with the new baby girl. I know it almost seems arbitrary to buy blue for a boy and pink for a girl, but I like the old-fashioned idea, and can not believe that it would ever go out of style. At first I was going to chose the Burberry Diaper Bag with the signature burberry check style, but decided on this lovely Burberry Quilted Diaper Bag in pink. I assume the store has it in blue also, but online I only see pink, so this is my pick for girls. Not to mention the quilted outside adds a feminine touch. Back to the bag. Burberry features a pink quilted fabric. Making sure it is evident that the bag is made by Burberry, the shoulder strap back is printed in the signature novacheck pattern along with other outer accents. Also it has a flap front with snaps, side pockets, and of course unzips to a changing pad. The bag can be purchased for $216 at Neiman Marcus.

Sometimes handbag designers seem to walk the ultra-thin line between beautiful perfection and extraordinary ugliness. Often this line is crossed just by the color options that a shopper can choose between. The Kate Spade Yoko Canvas Tote supports this statement in its entirety.
While the pictured natural tote looks stunning, featuring pretty whimsical line drawings by writer and illustrator Maira Kalman on the front and back, its close sibling in black with teal handles just ain’t cuttin it. Hideous! Fortunately, the pink handles harmonize very well with the beige’ish canvas of the natural color. The tote’s 14″ wide, 13″ high and 5″ deep; its straps are 22 inches in length. The stylish tote is on sale now at Smart Bargains for a mere $130 ($245 retail). Go get it while it’s hot.
