One of the most well-known brands in the handbag world is Coach. Both men and women recognize the Coach logo and millions continue to support Coach bags season after season. Established in 1941 as a family run workshop in Manhattan, Coach quickly became renown not only for their style but also quality. With an expanding company and product line, we continue to expect and be given innovative lines and multiple collections every season.
We were given the opportunity to review the upcoming Coach Kristin Collection which is set to launch online and in stores on November 1st, 2009. The Kristin line is clean and effortless, possessing many Coach qualities without having the Coach signature logo. The colors used for this line are soft and elegant, including shades of coral, pink, ivory, and burnished amber. Not just simple leather, the bags are given different finishes for optimum dimension and appeal, including fresh color blocking, embossed exotics, and rich glazed leather. (more…)
Earlier today we brought you information on how the Bottega Veneta Cabat is constructed. You all adore the Lilac Cabat we featured. I love it too. The Lilac Cabat is simply elegant. Truth is that a different Cabat had my heart all along and finally I have the pleasure of featuring it for you all. (more…)
An elongated clutch, the Bottega Veneta Parure Karung is inspired by decorations from haute couture. The beauty of this bag is that it is a clutch, but Bottega Veneta heard the requests from their audience and added a strap to enable comfortable shoulder wearing. It is recommended to wear it over your right shoulder, such that your arm does not cover the beautiful embroidery. As expected, the craftsmanship and attention to detail is superb. The embroidery reminds me of a collection of buttons, scattered across the flap.
The official color is truffle. Now, the amount of time that it has taken Vlad to attempt to adjust the color in Photoshop in entirely unreasonable. Looking at BV Online, the color appears very deep brown, which is inaccurate. The actual brown of the Parure carries slight hues of orange and red. And while I am making this sound so complex, the truffle color from Bottega Veneta really is just an average brown. You must see it in person to grasp the actual color, even though I think our representation is somewhat accurate.
Color aside, the easy/west shape of the clutch works well with taller frames. It is not a dainty clutch but it is still elegant. On the runway, the clutch was paired with beautiful hues of metallic lilac and held in hand. I prefer it as a clutch with a long wrist strap, since small shoulder bags seem to appear too tiny on my 5’10 frame. Measurements are 5.3 x 12.9 x 2.0 inches. Buy through Bottega Veneta for $2400.
Updating the classic Veneta, the Bottega Veneta Tornabuoni Maxi Veneta is named after the technique used to create the dimension on this bag. The effect is created by carefully double twisting individual strips of leather. This technique is seen vertically across the entire bag. The process is time consuming and complex to accurately perfect and position. Bottega Veneta always finds a way to revamp their classic bags to offer a new interpretation that stays true to the original but brings new fresh innovation forward. (more…)
This is not a clutch, it is a piece of art that belongs alongside Queen Elizabeth’s Crown Jewels, locked up in the Tower of London. Everything about it is extraordinary, from the overall design to the craftsmanship and work that goes into making it. And though this is a Knot clutch, which is a classic from Bottega, this rendition is in a league of its own. (more…)
It took me a few minutes of looking at this bag and holding it to decide that I did not like it. Rather, I love it. The Bottega Veneta Python Belly Veneta has the classic Veneta shape, yet has been reworked into a shopper, which Bottega Veneta coined the Croquet. From the Fall/Winter 2009 line, the Croquet should turn out to be a hit. (more…)
Continuing to love, support and discuss the brand, the Bottega Veneta fan base on the Purse Forum has helped our Exclusive Bottega Veneta Day come to life. The Purse Forum is the largest gathering of handbag enthusiasts world wide, as well as the most active fashion forum online. Our Bottega Veneta crowd is loyal and knows an astonishing amount of information. One of the most highly-coveted Bottega Veneta bags is the Cabat, which is discussed in depth in the BV forum. (more…)
We are excited to be the first site online to bring our readers a look at the Bottega Veneta The Art of Collaboration video for Fall 2009. Shot in New York this past March, the video was taken during the Fall 2009 photo shoot, captured by famed photographer Steven Meisel. Staying true to the Bottega Veneta brand image, the photos convey wit, intelligence, and beauty. The backdrop was bare and rugged, showing an unconventional glamour in which the models took center stage while showcasing the subdued palette of muted browns and creams splashed with luscious shades of grape, bramble, and lilac from the fall line. Thanks to Bottega Veneta, one of our favorite designers, for partnering with us! Who is excited?
We have teamed up with many designers over the years to bring you exclusive information, giveaways, and bags. Working with Bottega Veneta in the past few weeks to bring you exclusive information on a product launch is not only exciting but something from our dreams. Known for its supple woven leather, Bottega Veneta has garnered a worldwide audience of fans. While their bags are stylish and on many must-have lists, one thing Bottega Veneta avoids is being known for seasonal trendy bags.
Today we are bringing you an exclusive product launch, a style from Bottega Veneta that you know well in a color that blends purple, taupe and pink perfectly. From the fall/winter 2009 line, the Bottega Veneta Lilac Campana symbolizes everything the brand is known for; beauty, timelessness, and impeccable craftsmanship. The shape of this bag seems light and feminine, just as the bag actually is. While the interior is roomy and has a cell phone holder and side zipped pocket, the size of the bag is not overwhelmingly large or underwhelmingly small. Touching this woven lambskin reels you in, as I have said time and time again Bottega Veneta picks the most amazing leathers and has the best implementation of weaving the leather together. (more…)
