I just love these!!! I also love her bag, but *whispers* does she know the straps on her LV are leather? Or is it me that’s missing something?

The body is canvas but the trimmings are all cowhide. I even double checked the LV website to make sure there wasn’t some vegan option…
Wait I’m confused… I respect her vegan lifestyle choices (in fact I applaud her for it), but how can she be “staying away from leather” and “only going for man-made materials” if her LV bag has those vachetta straps? Conflicting statements, if you ask me.
She said she tries not to buy a lot of things that are made from animal product. When I talked to her, this was her first LV bag and she did choose it because majority was not leather 🙂
Leather is leather is leather no matter how big a piece or how small a piece. If you want to preach veganism I think you should be consistent. It’s not as if you can cut off only a piece of an animal to make a small leather accessory. The entire animal has to die. I’m not against leather products but if you want to live a certain way, I say go big or go home.
She wrote that it’s difficult avoiding leather products, and that she doesn’t allow herself to purchase many leather goods. She didn’t say that she avoids them completely.
Love her as a singer and very cool to see her bag and all of it’s contents!… We have a lot of the same things!
It would be almost impossible to stay away entirely from leather products. However I still wouldn’t buy LV if i were a vegan because it’s a brand that had so many leather products.

Anyone recognize the brand of the in-ear headphones? I like the case, it looks like it holds the cables without getting them all tangled up….or if like me – have them all a tangle in the bottom of my bag!
Love these. My H has that iPhone cover and one for his iPad. It is real wood. Also the headphones look like they are made by Shure
Absolutely right, they were indeed Shure in-ear headphones. Very popular with singers on stage – hers were molded to her ears to fit well.
I called and will be checking them out today! Thank you Kim and Vlad. I realize they are expensive, but I hope the sound is ten times better than the ear buds that came with my I-Pod. Plus the rep told me they fit can be customized! It will be coming out of my bag budget…but the little case will be great in my bags yes?

Oh, the hypocrisy of it all…What about the PLASTIC water bottle…not to mention all the other synthetic goods in her purse? Please! If you’re going to be “earth friendly”….leather is probably the least of the problems…..How about the chemicals used to make the LV signature vinyl/canvas? OK…so maybe methane is not so good…..but at least leather is biodegradable….unlike plastic. Just saying…….

They should be well informed before they make a choice to stand for an issue.
Animal cruelty (an “earth-friendly” issue) comes in so many forms. Leather is the most obvious.
Plastic cruelty is harm we inflict on animals everyday. From the oil in personal care products draining into the water to plastic bottles, bags, wrappers, blister gum packs not being recycled & ending up looking like food to animals.
This being said, LV is a great company that has solid business standards! I think it is important to know this above all!

Well…it seems to me she has chosen to be a vegan of convenience. I have several LV bags. Like everyone else, I have lots of plastic in my life. My point is…..if you’re making a statement…..be educated, consistent and aware…..
Look, I understand the idea of being consistent; however, why should we hold celebrities to a higher standard? In this day and age, it’s nearly impossible to live a lifestyle that is ecologically correct.
I understand the philosophy, “being less bad is no good” when it comes to the environment, but should who are to criticize someone for attempting to make an effort? Especially not if we don’t hold ourselves to said standards.
She’s not telling other people to do this. She’s living her life, making her own choices. If she had said, people ought to do this, people shouldn’t do that, then fine, criticize her, but she’s entitled to her own opinions and to live her life the way she wants.

I was thinking the same thing reading all about how she tries to stay away from leather yet she carries something that isn’t too earth friendly. And honestly, using leather is probably the most earth-friendly thing she could use since canvas isn’t natual materials. Doesn’t Mat and Nat have vegan bags? Also the water bottle, really? She can’t get a resuable bottle someplace?
I love the iPhone cover, I wonder if they have those for iPods. The earplus are really cute as well.

I actually liked this post. I could care less that she’s a vegan yet is using a bag with leather trim.
While I know that the celebs that are photgraphed only let you take pictures of what they want, I find it hard to believe that’s all she has in that huge bag.
Anyway, I would love to have those Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses. I didn’t even know that “King” Karl had a line of specs.
