Sometimes a great brand can be hidden in an international market that's out of our reach, and that is just the case with Lipault Paris. Lipault has become one of France's leading luggage brands after being launched by French designer François Lipovetsky in 2005, and until now, its wares were hard to come by in the US. If you ever traveled to France, you may have noticed the brand, but being on the other side of the pond, I only became aware of the brand recently.
Lipault Paris promises bright fashion colors, lightweight design, durable fabrics and unique gear, all at a great price point. You may not want a black bag for your carry-on (though if you do, Lipault offers that as well), which makes Lipault a great option, with bold color choices for everyone.
Five staple colors make up the permanent collection, while seasonal prints and colors come and go. After browsing the site for a while, I instantly fell for the Spinner Carry-On Bag in dark lavendar. First, I've always been a fan of the color purple, and second, how nice would it be to finally have a carry on that is easy to lift overhead on the plane and also easy to recognize as your own? On top of that, everything is reasonably priced, with most pieces under $260.
Another perk is the brand's trademark "0%" foldable designs, which allow you easy, minimal storage when your travel bags aren't in use. All of the bags are lined with a protective fabric, and the exteriors are a luxurious nylon that is not only light weight, but also easy to clean. While Lipault currently has three flagship stores in France, if you live in the US, you can shop the entire Lipault collection online.
