I’ve never been an overwhelming fan of Dior handbags, and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because a lot of them are structured and I like slouch, maybe it’s just because I can’t afford them and therefore convince myself I don’t like them. Who knows? But I do know that Dior almost, ALMOST has me on board with the Dior Le Trente Drawstring Tote.

Dior Le Trente Drawstring Tote

It’s slouchy. It’s ruffly. It has chain handles. The leather looks super soft and touchable. But something is bothering me just a bit…too many ruffles? It might be the handles…do they seem a tad too close together to anyone else? I think that is the problem I’m having – when handles are set that close, it’s really hard swing a bag over your shoulder. Also, they don’t seem to coordinate with the proportion of the bag – it’s an east/west style, yet the handles are constructed like they’re for a north/south tote. If each side was just set an inch and a half closer to the outer edges of the bag, this one might be perfect. As it stands, it’s still pretty cool. Anyone seen us it in person that can comment? Buy through Saks for $1950.

  • Brendating

Reminds me of the Chanel baby cabas especially with the round dangly charm on it.

  • Shawna

I like the gaucho bag but this one is just a bit too fu-fu for my taste.

  • stella

Yea I agree with Brendating, it does look very much like the Chanel Coco Cabas. It’s kind of cute though, but I am not a fan or Dior at all.

  • ijm

i like it. I think it’s a perfect summer purse.

  • Diana

i somehow think dior made it wrong with this one. sorry ladies. i love their structure bags. and where is their signature Dior attachment?

  • Valerie

I have seen the black and fuchsia in person. Its a pretty nice bag especially the fuchsia color.

  • hazel

I like the chain handles, I don’t really like the rest of it though.

  • Alex

“…too many ruffles” – well, it is suppose to look like a flower / rose when looked from any angels. I think they are quite successful in making it look like a rose.

  • Sarah

I prefer the more structured Dior bags. It does look like the Chanel.

  • Cats

There is just a tad too much busy-ness with this bag.

  • karolynka

too much of everything..ruffles..chains..i guess dior has to back to basics..i think the saddle, the lady dior and the gaucho remain dior’s best bags..

  • QueenMAB

It’s a lovely white, but chain straps+ruffles+big charm = too much going on.

I tend not to gravitate to white purses, but I would totally rock this one!

I <3 all Dior including this bag. I think it looks soft and feminine and would be a great summer day bag (keep that extra light cardigan in there to fight off the AC in offices).

  • Julia

I think this bag is adorable. I love the way this bag looks like a flower or… a lotus. have yet to see this one in person though. On the lookout!!!!

Ugly-ugly-ugly, they have to change bag designer, recently all their bags are so incredible ugly, they look cheap like from china market

I agree with you, I m not fans of Dior bag, but you have to see it in person for this one, it’s really stand out so I bought this, the rest of the Dior bags are not tempting, but this one is an exeption.

  • mdcharli

I bought this bag in the patent black cannage and it is gorgeous. Go on to Saks now and look at the beige cannage.
And I have never been a Dior fan! You have to see and feel this one in person.

I just received mine today in the white. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it on Saks.com. I have a black Chanel with white stitching that this Dior reminds me of. The only difference is that the Dior is more feminine(ruffles) and can be worn with (jeans) or a cocktail dress. Very versatile.

  • Rach

I really like it. It reminds me of when I was little girl and would walk around with my little handbags.

I actually just bought this bag ( Le Trente Cannage Medium Shopping ) in black. I didn’t really like when I saw in on the computer, but once you go to the Dior Boutique, this bag really stand out alone inside the store, although the online price is $2100, the store said the Dior price is actually $2250, so it’s almost $2500 after tax. I still not 100% satisfied with this bag, because my mind still on my second CHANEL bag. But I got lots of compliment for this bag, it’s pretty and feminine, day/ night and versatile outfit.

I adore this bag and am working desperately to save the money to buy it! They also have a great pair of shoes this fall that hopefully soon will be in my closet!

  • Zari
