Last night, the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots faced off for Super Bowl LX in San Francisco. The culmination of the season came to this moment, and you know what, I was disappointed. Not in the game, in the bags.
The players didn’t bring their best bag game to the biggest game of the season, and after my countless installments throughout this football season, it was a letdown for me. In fact, I suggest you revisit some of my favorite coverage from earlier this year (here, here, here, here, and Super Bowl halftime performer, Bad Bunny, here).
While the bag policy in NFL stadiums really cramps our bag-spotting, celebrities and fans had a bit more leeway, since they were attending events leading up to the game.
The Fans and Celebs of the Super Bowl
Blue Ivy made me do a double-take because in a video I scrolled by, I was certain she was Beyoncé. I had to check and double-check to realize that she was not, but is a spitting image of her mom. There were a few other events, with some celebs sharing snaps of the bags they toted. Lovely to see a Polenè bag in the wild, along with some other lesser-known bags and brands.
The Players’ Bags
As I shared earlier, the bag game was super meh. I was excited to see AJ Barner with a great Hermès bag, pockets, and all. Many other players opted for classic, practical black duffel bags. But if there is any time to let your bag shine, it’s for the Super Bowl.
While I will never be in the Super Bowl, I would like to think that if I were, I would have the most-talked-about bag ever.
