15 Super Simple, Super Chic Shoulder Bags for When You’re Sick of Logos and Trends

Sometimes you don't want to wear your heart on your sleeve or your brand on your bag

As much as I love a trend, they are, by their very nature, an easy thing to get sick of. And like I mentioned earlier this morning, I’m feeling a little fatigued, and also a little practical. In a practical sense, the bags I end up using the most are shoulder bags, and they’re fairly simple. I bet that’s the case for a lot of people, and especially those who don’t want to wave an obviously expensive purchase in the face of coworkers or friends who just don’t quite get it. So let’s talk about some of those bags.

It’s easy to get distracted by logos, embellishments, non-traditional materials—those things are, by definition meant to distract! But if you make it beyond those things, it’s actually a pretty good time to be bag shopping right now, no matter your price point. Lots of new designers have gained a foothold in the marketplace, and even among designers more well-known for flash at the moment, plenty of good, simple bags remain. I found over a dozen of them below.
