It would appear that the ladies be shopping
Just because you love bags doesn't mean you necessarily know anyone else in real life who does, and while that's not exactly a problem, it can be kind of a bummer when you get something new and don't know who to share it with who will understand your excitement. That's where our PurseForum comes in: it's full of hundreds of thousands of people who understand why you're excited, and who would love to see your new bag.
This happens in what we call "reveal threads," where people unbox their new bags for interested audiences of like-minded bag lovers. These threads are fun and supportive, and they're also a great opportunity to see new bags in ways can be helpful and informative for people looking to buy a new bag of their own—for instance, there are often modeling shots!
These reveal threads happen all year, but by the looks of it, summer was a particularly busy shopping season for our members. We took a dive into all of our brand-specific subforums to find the best reveals from the past couple months, and you can check them out below.
It's Balenciaga's 100th anniversary this year, and tPFer ksuromax's commemorative A4 Papier Tote is filled with doodles that pay homage to the brand's illustrious history.
Our Balenciaga subforum is also home to many members who hunt down their favorite leather colors from seasons past. Recently, atlantis1982 tracked down this gorgeous Balenciaga Work Bag in vert gazon from 2007 in impeccable condition.
In Bottega Veneta, members are anxiously awaiting intel on how the brand's bags will change under a new designer, but for now, pursefanatic168's lovely shopper tote is a reminder of why so many people loved Tomas Maier's work.
Céline fans can commiserate with the ladies of the Bottega forum—Phoebe Philo left the brand at the end of 2017, and Hedi Slimane's first collection for the brand has yet to debut. In the meantime, Knicole treated herself to this beautifully minimalistic Mini Clasp Bag on a trip to Miami.
Over in Chanel, we had a double reveal: MaryJoe84 bagged twin Mini Classic Flaps in ivory and dark turquoise. She also picked up some Chanel sneakers, which you can scope out in her reveal thread.
Longtime tPFer xlana finally found the right version of the popular Chloé Faye for her: the Faye Day Bag, which is a little more functional and casual than the original.
In Coach, Grymera picked up one of the brand's newest designs: the tailored Coach Parker 18 Bag in classic black.
Also in Coach, zjones chose a bag from one of the brand's frequent and popular collaborations: a Dinky from Coach's capsule collection with artist Chelsea Champlain.
Member mk1997 picked up this gorgeous lizard Dior Lady Dior Bag with some help from her trusty Dior sales associate, who was able to get one of the five blue lizard Lady Diors destined for North America diverted to her boutique.
In our Fendi subforum, Melsig made a very summer-appropriate choice: not only did she get a super-detailed mini Fendi Peekaboo, but she also picked up the matching espadrilles.
In Gucci, PinkPeonies' new Ophidia was accompanied by another small shoulder bag that's a blast from the past—check out the thread to find out what it is!
Also in Gucci, TraceySH opted only for that new new—straight off the Fall 2018 runway, to be exact.
There were tons of Hermès reveals on the forum this summer, but we love how beautiful PursePassionLV's craie leather Birkin 30 looks with the colorful silk wrapped around its handles. She waited a whole year for it to arrive, and we'd say it looks to have been worth it.
This summer, Hermès member Sic_Sic got a very special delivery, two years in the making: her special order Kelly Bag, made just for her.
In Longchamp, SirinB picked up a lovely red Longchmap 3D Bag that's perfect for warm weather.
Louis Vuitton is our busiest subforum, and they're also some of the busiest shoppers. In particular, inard1 picked up the brand new Louis Vuitton Cannes Bag, before we even got a chance to write about it!
Also in Louis Vuitton, Angie4m returned a defective bag and walked out of the boutique with this gorgeous Louis Vuitton City Steamer, complete with contrasting python details.
To complete our trio of Louis Vuitton reveals, it seems appropriate to go with a trio of bags: LV_4ever, true to her name, picked up these three bags while traveling in London and Paris.
Mulberry had several turbulent years, but its latest bags are a big hit with shoppers. Caz6674 scored big because her local boutique is moving—she got a new bag and accessory for 80% off.
Prada has released a bunch of new styles recently, and many of them are hitting the forum—and, by extension, our members' closets. Boeyshona picked up this quilted Prada Impunture Bag, and if you're wondering about size, you can find some modeling shots in her reveal thread.
Bagpug is has also snapped up a new arrival, and this one is very new—the Prada Mirage Bag, which is a fall runway style.
