Your First Look at Proenza Schouler’s Spring 2020 Bags

Is Proenza's next big hit among these bags?

I think it would be a fair assessment to say that Proenza Schouler is a brand looking forward to its next big bag hit. Accessory wise, designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez earned their stripes with the massive successes of both the PS1 and PS11 lines. These designs have cemented Proenza Schouler’s place in the handbag world, with both bags increasing both the brand’s presence and power in the market. The powerhouse duo behind the brand has continued to produce new designs, though hits like the PS1 and the PS11 are hard to top. However, Proenza’s Spring 2020 bags prove that the pair’s next big bag hit may be among them.

Seen first for Resort 2020 (the bags are already available for pre-order), Proenza has introduced an interesting new family of bags. Called the Buckle Bags, the group features both a mini cross body bag as well as a square shaped shoulder bag that is larger and more wearable. Both bags feature a belt like buckle detailing, with bold hardware (so very Proenza). For Spring 2020, the designers delve further into this collection, offering new leather versions such as a crinkled leather finish as well as a tie-dye finish. The collection also featured a couple of other shapes, including a notably large tote bag. View all of the bags below.
