Milan is hitting one of the busiest seasons yet, with fashion week and the Winter Olympics coming together in the next months in the fashion capital. Arrivals to shows are always one of our top moments to cover, and this Men’s show gave us a look at what guests are favoring this season.
One thing I love about Prada is how the brand is ever-evolving while remaining true to its core. It makes every design feel inherently Prada, but every season adds a little twist to allow that season to stand out. A cord strap (which is very in), paired with Prada’s classic Re-Nylon, a satin drawstring bag that appears both simplistic and elegant, and Prada’s stunning Nappa leather, which is as delightful to touch as it is to see, adorned the bags of attendees.
Celebrities at the Show
While Men’s Week doesn’t always deliver the most bag content, we can see trends in the attendees’ style. A pop of color alongside a scrumptious leather jacket, long coats in every color, paired with tailored pants and a great shoe, was seen.
Street Style Outside of Prada
Prada Re-Nylon, from small crossbody bags with cord strap detailing to different shapes and sizes, was on the arms of the attendees.
If you know one thing about me, it is that Prada Re-Nylon was the first fabric that got me into the bag world, and over my lifetime has held up, remained fashionable, and always reminds me of my beginnings, so I will never not be a Prada Re-Nylon fan.
Bag charms remain an accessory staple, and Prada offers the right elements of whim and whimsy to amplify each bag. After this roundup, I have my eye on one of those cute little Re-Nylon smartphone cases.
It’s just guests wearing what the brand provided for free… so basically it’s a giant ad for a brand that is desperately trying to make buyers forget that its clothes and bags are made in sweatshops.
I hate to break to you but having worked in garment manufacturing from couture to fast fashion for 14 years that everything is made in a sweatshop. If you think the working conditions are fantastic just because you’re paying couture prices they aren’t no matter the brand- that’s why all these high end brands eventually come under fire. It really depends mostly on what country they are being made in and generally the biggest difference is the higher end brands have slightly more skilled workers and allow them slightly more time to complete their section of the product. Sample factories are a different story and that’s what you see in movies where people are sewing in office like ateliers that’s where the designers work on prototypes not where things are manufactured. This industry is not glamorous on the inside at all.

Why are male models back to looking like anorexic vampires. The pale starved look makes the clothes so unappealing.
